President Joe Biden has announced the withdrawal of all US forces from Afghanistan. As a seemingly endless 20 year war comes to an end we must ask the question of whether the US accomplished its mission, and whether the sacrifice of thousands of US men and women was worth the end result. Was Afghanistan the graveyard for US world empire, or merely an inconvenience?
