"Along the Lines" is a conversational podcast started during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Beginning the first episodes in lockdown, and unable to meet each guest in person, the conversations had to take place along the phone lines.
Each episode is along the lines of... whatever subject/s are interesting and relevant (to the guest/s) at the time of recording.

In this episode, Dan talks to Phil Legrand about a few different topics that include...

- Phil's background in Economics and Finance
- The enjoyable and rewarding aspects of working in finance
- What is "Inflation"?
- What is "GDP" and what are some of its limitations?
- Should we be redistributing wealth?
- Considering what contributes to individual wealth or poverty
- Exploring other ways of judging a country's "success"
- Discussing the idea of "Universal Basic Income"
- The issue of helping people who suffer with substance abuse
- What "Confirmation Bias" is, how it's fuelled, and how it manifests

Please feel free to comment, like, subscribe and/or come on as a guest.

Let's keep the conversation going!
