"Along the Lines" is a conversational podcast started during the Covid-19 pandemic.  

Beginning the first episodes in lockdown, and unable to meet each guest in person, the conversations had to take place along the phone lines.  
Each episode is along the lines of... whatever subject/s are interesting and relevant (to the guest/s) at the time of recording.   

In this episode, Dan and Nick Twigger discuss, debate, and give their views on the propositions from "The Political Compass" Test (found at https://www.politicalcompass.org/).  

Dan begins, however, by addressing Nick's use of the word "Retard" in their last episode together. They discuss the acceptability of that word.

Then, continuing on from their last episode together, they cover the following "Political Compass" test propositions:

12) The freer the market, the freer the people.  
13) It’s a sad reflection on our society that something as basic as drinking water is now a bottled, branded consumer product.  
14) Land shouldn’t be a commodity to be bought and sold.
15) It is regrettable that many personal fortunes are made by people who simply manipulate money and contribute nothing to their society.
16) Protectionism is sometimes necessary in trade.
17) The only social responsibility of a company should be to deliver a profit to its shareholders.  
18) The rich are too highly taxed.  
19) Those with the ability to pay should have access to higher standards of medical care.
20) Governments should penalise businesses that mislead the public.
