We get going (13:50) by discussing Chris Johnston's report about the Hurricanes discussing both Logan Stankoven and Jason Robertson during Mikko Rantanen trade talks with Dallas back in 2025. The guys then spend the second half of the show (27:15) talking about how Carolina finally won another Cup championship, how the NHL built on the momentum of Four Nations with a better-than-expected postseason and Olympics, and the upcoming PWHL and NHL drafts.There's also some musing about Mason McTavish and Mikael Granlund (50:38) when it comes to what the Ducks might do, as well as some digging into the evolution of the mobile defenseman/wingpack position in both soccer and hockey.
