Part 2 from the AK WSF "Virtual Banquet". I pull in two guys who were there to represent the Alaska Dept of Game and Fish and MAN! were they fun guys to sit down. They truly were engaging conversationalists.

Eddie Grasser is the Director of Wildlife Conservation for ADF&G.

He comes from a family of Alaskan guides and tells stories from the days of 50 hours pack trains into the Alaskan bush and the former world record grizzly bear.

He also founded the Alaska Wildlife Heritage Foundation.

Eddie talks about his ideas to protect hunting and outdoor conservation in Alaska.

Then I'm joined byTony Kavalok, Assistant Director, Division of Wildlife Conservation. He and I debate Alaska's most iconic hunts and brainstorm some more ideas on helping people to get outdoors in Alaska.

The biggest takeaways:

1. Buy a hunting license.

2. Take someone hunting. It will take 5 experiences before it will stick.

Recruit. Retain. Reactivate.
