'Story' has long been the way information was passed from one generation to the next. For centuries, humans sat around a fire and told stories at night to teach lessons, pass the time, and keep the kids from the jaws of the Saber Cat. It's just in our human blood to appreciate a good story.

That's why - on this episode - I'm just narrating a story I once wrote. It's one that simply makes us appreciate life in wild places.

This was originally published in WILD SHEEP magazine, the official publication of the Wild Sheep Foundation.

It was republished digitally in The Journal of Mountain Hunting.

Enjoy.
