Back in the 1800 and whatevers, people had a much looser idea of what the word "entertainment" meant. Sometimes is was a rousing game of cards or going to a play and sometimes it was setting up two steam locomotives in the middle of nowhere Texas and letting them ram into each other for a crowd.
