Part 2In this episode we discuss big changes in Sino-African relations that shape the current political and eceonomic nature of their relationships today with Dr Emanuel Matambo, Research Director at Centre for Africa China Studies (CACS) at the University of Johannesburg. We touch on how China is evolving  from its relationship with Africa from state-centric to a market driven one by Chinese capitalists and their tensions with African entrepreneurs. We also talk about the  post-covid context by discussing China's  economic slowdown and its affect on Africa; once a characterized by non-interference in domestic affairs and big spending with little checks in an almost Santa Clause manner to a  more austere, stricter  and more cautious China especially on things like debt-restructuring - which often means  making debt owed by poorer countries more manageable such as extending how  long a country can pay back.Finally we look at whats ahead and whether we'll see a China more involved in African politics and milarites.
