Prof. Benoit Barbeau is a virologist and lecturer at the Univesité du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He has worked extensively on the issue of Human endogenous retrovirus (hERV) envelop proteins as well as its implication. Additionally, Prof. Barbeau has written about the gain of function research on The Conversation. He has recently been featured on the CBC for his expertise in COVID vaccines.
