i really enjoy this show because it manages to acknowledge that games especially pocket monster catching games are supposed to be fun and being a fan of cute pokemon is fun, and it also makes sure to point out when things in the evolution of the game and the franchises around it may be headed in a direction that isn't so fun or is controversial. it provides entertainment and even teaches me about how marketing works ( answer : on a longer time scale than i expect and leveraging the nostalgia i have ) and helps me understand what events are upcoming that i my still pay to play in, but with expectations . this is basically the opposite of a troll cast and it's also honestly a fan cast in that it seems like the hosts like the franchise and do engage with the parts they love. if you are getting into pokemon games at any age or demography this is good place to start

Hey there Poke’fanatics it’s Nicky Roma of NEPA back again with another review. Love the show always a pleasure listening to such great quality information and witty banter with the hosts. Hope Jim is well! So I know in the intro you say you talk about all things pokemon but I have yet to hear about the short lived Broadway show Pokemon the Musical. I came across a keychain at my parents house and I vaguely remember seeing the show when I was a kid, have any of you had the pleasure of seeing it while it was in NYC? I found the soundtrack of the show and a recording of it on YouTube and the memories came flooding back. Thanks again for all the entertainment guys keep up the great work as always! Oh I also have a Geodude theory….a couple episodes ago I remember someone said something about not understanding why Golem looks the way it does. Here’s my theory….Golem was a botched attempt at bringing a fossil back to life. So more or less Geodude and graveler are the fossils and golem is a partly restored fossil and only his head, feet and arms made it through the process. That’s my theory let me know what you think! By far the best Pokemon podcast. Also, apologies to Megan but Scarlet/Violet was one of the greatest video games I’ve ever played lol. It got me back into Pokemon as it was the first game I’ve played since the original red/blue. Any recommendations for a Pokemon game to play next on switch or ds? Thanks! I recently bought a S/V 151 Booster Bundle from an Antique shop of all places for $45 and it had a Holofoil Arbok EX. I posted the photos on X. Currently Im completing my Pokedex research in Legends and catching any shinys I encounter. I was just thinking, what animal should be imortalized as a Pokemon? as for me. I would like a Giant Deep Sea Isopod or a Manticore. Aslo, Do you tink their is any scientific significance of Pokemon as a consept? How surreal would it be if Tim Burton drew a Gengar or a Bannette in his art style? Please invite me to the podcast. I'd love to talk about my experiences.

I started listening to the most recent episode of this podcast for myself on Spotify. Spotify does not allow me to leave a full review so I came head to provide my review. It’s very disheartening to learn that this podcast supports the movement “ACAB”. I am in law enforcement and tend to use Pokémon podcasts and the main line games as a way to decompress from the stresses that my job creates. I am aware that there are bad law enforcement officers out there however, the ACAB movement supports the idea that there are no good police officers which I do not agree with. The Pokémon content you all cover is great, however I will no longer be supporting this content by listening to the episodes. I wish you all the best with the success of your podcast and appreciate you taking the time to read this review.

I’m an android user. I borrowed my girlfriend’s phone just to do this review! I’ve been listening for years and had my first live stream this morning! Excellent podcast. The banter the news the nostalgia! It’s everything I need to get thru my work days! Looking a way to send you guys a picture of my Pokémon tattoos for a segment on live! Love you guys! Also do you think a Pokémon horror survival game would be too much? Too easy? Or down right terrifying?

I’ve gotten back into Pokémon after decades long hiatus. It’s a great show and very different from what I usually listen to for podcasts. Came for the news and stayed for the facts. Opinion!: Wartortle is the better name in the evolution line. I wish it was the final form, missed opportunity. Also Blastoise ends with -toise which makes it a tortoise. That doesn’t make sense. Thoughts? Any other Pokémon names you wish were different? Keep up the good work!

I love this Podcast, I’ve been into Pokemon sense I spent all summer when I was 10 moving lawns to buy a gameboy color and Pokemon Blue. I fell out of Pokemon in my teenage years but recently have come back thanks to my son’s love of Pokemon and now he, my wife and I all collect the cards together. I stumbled onto this podcast when I was looking for podcast about Pokemon I knew I found a special podcast when my first show was of Megan basically running out of Target with that plushie and a upset kid who never should have put it down. But I knew I found the Pokemon podcast for me listening to stories of Jim’s Little Red Wagon taking innocent Grandma’s money and Christians dry sarcastic sense of humor that matches my own! Sub these guys up, you won’t regret a second of it!! I would also like to say Vaporeon is the best Eevee-lution, Bulbisaur is overall the strongest starter to have even if he’s not my favorite #TeamCharizard and the coolest rock Pokemon there is, is Golem when if he evolves from Geodude whose only realistic jobs in the real would would have been use as a pet rock or a paper weight. Keep of the great work I can’t wait to listen to many more episodes and hope I can find a way not to miss to many shows when I join the Army here soon. Take care!!

Hey, I love the pod, I’ve never caught a live cause im in school. Sorry bout that. I’ve played Pokémon go since 2016 and 100 percent agree with everything you’ve said about it. I have 5 routes in my area and I created all of them so Zygardes gonna take me a while 😂 I live in a generally suburban area but have poke stops and go fest was probably the best I’ve done in a while. Question, if you were to create a new Pokémon for a region based in the US, what would it be? For me I’d create two, a Pokémon that is always trying to eat other Pokémon but ends up getting eaten by a giant burger based Pokémon which is the other Pokémon. This is the only podcast I’ve been able to really stick with, Super Effective was good but it was all stats and this is a great mix of everything! Tysm for the pod! Great podcast! The hosts are truly passionate and knowledgable about Pokémon. The community they’ve created is one of the best in the fandom, and it’s always great tuning in on the way home from work. Question: What do you think the next Pokémon typing will be and why is it Food type? Which Pokémon would be retyped to Food?

This podcast isn’t that bad, but I would recommend Pokesports or It’s Super Effective instead of this.

I randomly decided to find a Pokemon podcast and I knew comicbook.com was legit so I had to give you guys a listen and so glad I did. Pokemon was always my favorite cartoon as a kid and I love listening to you guys and reminiscing. The random Pokemon facts are always so fun and interesting. I'm a bit behind on some of the newer generations and need to catch up. Thank you for bringing me back to my childhood.

This podcast gives me the same excitement about Pokémon that I used to have when I was young and would wake up early Saturday mornings to watch Pokémon on TV! I absolutely love the energy of each episode and especially love the rabbit holes and tangents that inevitably occur. The most exciting thing about being on summer break from my job is that I will hopefully be able to catch the podcast live now!!
