In this episode I interview Jamie Hamilton, a PhD Candidate at Emory University who is studying how fat cells help cancer cells survive and thrive in the face of chemotherapy treatment. Jamie did a fantastic job explaining the basic biology of cancer development, he answered questions from the audience and helped debunk a number of prevalent myths about cancer. 

More about Jamie: Jamie Hamilton, PhD Candidate, studies the relationship between obesity, leukemia and chemotherapy. He is passionate about making science accessible to all communities, through both the media and direct outreach programs. He believes it is the responsibility of good scientist to become great science communicators.
