Wesley finds himself in a terrible predicament—his legs are missing—when an off-putting bit of ugly brown light starts speaking to him about the human condition. Existentialism mingles with dystopian dread in a post-modern America, while Wesley has, what might be, his final conversation. 

The conclusion? He was never alive anyway.
