Google Calendar
Timer-based tools
Pomodoro timers
Focus To-Do free app
Make the call
Have a standing time with yourself each day that you cannot miss, barring an emergency.
Don't overcommit in your social life because you're optimistic about your ability to write quickly.
Reclaim your time
This challenge requires focus. No one is going to fault you socially for choosing to remain focused in order to reach your writing goal.
Chunk it down
Break up writing times into multiple shorter writing stints. Unless you ramp up your cadence you're going to need to allocate enough hours to your writing goal to hit your target goal.
Remember all of us NaNoWriMo authors are in this together! If you need a writer buddy to help you stay on track reach out in the forum or try to connect with someone virtually or at a write-in. We're almost halfway through the month and the time is ticking. Keep those fingers clicking.
In the next episode, I will share some wellness tips to keep you healthy through the rest of the month.
