At first glance hostels come off as dirty, uncomfortable, and dangerous. If I tell an American I stay in hostels 9 times out of 10 they mention the horror movie “Hostel” and that’s about the only thing they know about them but there is a secret beauty underneath it all that deserves to be shared.
