A Donegal Childhood revisited

Pearl Hutchinson
Walk through the house that was my childhood home in Donegal. Memories were made there that have lasted a life time. Water carried from the well, black range for cooking, tin bath in front of the fire, wireless on the shelf, bread cupboard, roller towel behind the door.
The house where I was born
Walk through the house with me in the late 1950's before electricity came. Wash in the tin bath on a Saturday night, carry water from the well, sit round the wireless and listen to the news from Athlone. Crowd round the formica table to get a bite to eat.
