Deon Brown told his mother he was returning to Nashville after performing in a drag show in Memphis. When she got home from work Brown was sleeping, later he told her he'd be visiting a friend.
The next day she would get the news that her son was dead. On November 14, 2016 police responding to a call of a body in the parking lot of Nashville's Western Express trucking company found Deon Brown's body surrounded by blood. Police found several items covered in blood but Brown's car was missing.
