Haveの 過去形、過去分詞、進行形

今回の動詞は have です。

持つ、所有する、備えている、（心に）抱く、経験する、食べる、などという意味です。不規則動詞です。

過去形 – had

過去分詞形 – had
進行形 – having

Have にはたくさんの意味があります。よく使われる６つの意味を例文と一緒に学習しましょう。

 

Have 意味 1

To have = to own, use, or hold (something)

持っている。何かを所有している、使う。

例文

Do they have a new car?

彼らは新しい車を所有しているの？

You can have it until I get back.

僕が戻るまで、君がそれを使っていいよ。

She has a red bike, and I have a blue one.

彼女は赤い自転車を持っていて、私は青いのを持っています。

動詞の have は、目に見えない物や触る事が出来ない物にも使います。

例文

Do you have an appointment?

予約はありますか？

Do you have any experience in this line of work? [=have you done this kind of work before?]

この業界での経験はありますか？

She has so many things that she wants to do.

彼女はやりたい事がたくさんあります。

They have a deadline that must be met.

必ず守らなければならない締切日あります。

 

Have 意味 2

To have something to do は、しなければならない事や、タスクを完了するためにやっておきたい事がある、という時に使います。

例文

I have many things to do today.

今日はやらなければならない事がたくさんあるの。

I have several more pages to read.

あと何ページか読むところがあります。

I have two more lessons to teach today.

今日はあと２つレッスンがあります。

 

Have 意味 3

Have = used to say that something is available or not available

何かを備えているか、いないか

例文

What would you like to drink? We have coffee, tea, orange juice, coke and beer.

お飲物は何になさいますか？ コーヒー、お茶、オレンジジュース、コーラ、ビールがございます。

Do you have anything to eat?

何か食べるものはありますか？

We didn’t want to do it, but we had no choice.

私たちはやりたくなかったけど、他に選択肢がなかったの。

You have a tremendous opportunity, and you should make the most of it.

Have 意味 4

The verb to have can be used to describe a quality, skill, feature, etc., of a person or thing

人や物の品質、資格、仕様などを表すのにも使います。

例文

He has a positive attitude.

彼は前向きな態度を持っています。

He has an incredible knowledge of ancient history.

彼は古代史について素晴らしい知識を持っています。

His car must be so old. It doesn’t have any airbags.

彼の車はかなり古いに違いない。エアバッグが付いていないんだ。

 

Have 意味 5

You have a child when you give birth to a child or if you are a parent.

子どもを産んだり、子どもがいるという時も have を使います。

例文

She had her first child when she was only 17.

彼女は17歳で一人目の子どもを産んだ。

They have decided to have another baby.

彼らはもう一人赤ちゃんを産む事を決めたよ。

She and her husband have three children.

彼女は夫との間に３人子どもがいる。

They have a son.

彼らには息子が一人いる。

 

Have 意味 6

To have = used to describe a relationship between people

人同士の関係を表すのにも have が使われます。

例文

I have two sisters and one brother.

私は２人の姉/妹と兄/弟がいます。

He is a popular guy. He has many friends.

彼は人気者でね、たくさんの友達がいるんだよ。

We have a close relationship. We are like sisters.

私たちってすっごく仲がいいよね。姉妹みたいよね。
