تدوين صوتي قصصي وثائقي من وزارة الثقافة، يبتكر أسلوباً جديداً للوثائقيات الصوتية العربية من خلال سرد القصص واستضافة الخبراء والفنانين ليُسهم في إثراء المحتوى الثقافي. ويهدف بودكاست 1949 إلى رفع الوعي بالإرث الثقافي للمملكة وما تزخر به من تنوع وثراء في فنونها وتراثها إلى جانب إلهام المستمعين بقصص تعرّف بالثقافة السعودية. الجدير بالذكر أن عام 1949م هو تاريخ صدور مرسوم ملكي وُضع فيه الإطار العام للإذاعة في المملكة، وفيه أُنشئت أول محطة إذاعية سعودية في جدة وبدأ إرسالها في نفس العام.
