In a high-octane Tuesday morning edition, Drake Toll delivered an uncompromising breakdown of the NFL’s "Black Monday" carnage and a preview of a Wild Card weekend filled with historical rivalries. Drake kicked things off with the Atlanta Falcons’ total organizational reset, noting that owner Arthur Blank finally ran out of patience after five years of mediocrity under GM Terry Fontenot and back-to-back 8-9 seasons from Raheem Morris.
Drake also handed out his "Biggest Losers" honors, highlighting an AFC West Sunday where the Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, and Chiefs combined for zero offensive touchdowns.
Drake previewed the Panthers vs. Rams matchup, where Carolina enters as massive 9.5-point home underdogs despite beating LA in Week 13. He also broke down the "rubber match" between the Packers and Bears, noting that Chicago enters as a slight 1.5-point favorite. Rounding out the slate, Drake looked at the high-flying Bills-Jaguars clash and the heavyweight 49ers-Eagles rematch, where Philly opens as a 3.5-point favorite in their Super Bowl defense.
Westwood One broadcaster Kevin Harlan also joined the show to break down the NFL playoffs.
