Excellence in media analysis
It’s invigorating to hear these students use strong critical thinking skills, and this new dive into how media is widening the political divide is spot on.

Underestimate them no longer
I’ve been listening, and loving, Underestimated since it first aired. However, I feel the need to highlight Season Two, Episode 6. This group of high school students just did a remarkable job saying what so few people (with a platform) say. And I hope they know that there are adults out here that see what’s happening and continue to stay tuned in and informed. My greatest hope is that social media becomes deeply uncool and people realize that bad people win when the good people are divided. In the meantime, VOTE in every single election that you can and make informed choices. Every single election. School boards, library boards, judges- it’s the most important right we have.

Great job!
The kids are doing a great job on these episodes. Stay off politics. You will lose listeners. Lib Bob will ruin a good thing

Great Job
This is a fabulously done podcast done by high school students! Quality beats most of what is out there right now, from editing, voice volume, subject matter , etc.

Storytelling with Purpose
I love this podcast. These guys are bringing light and attention to unsolved cases, and they do it in a way that brings the stories to life. Taking the time to give dignity to the families and yet seek justice for the victims. Worth a listen!

Not to be Underestimated!
These young adults are doing real life investigative journalism aimed at bringing justice to the victims of unsolved crimes. They are incredibly bright, hard working and very resourceful. The complete opposite of traits associated with those who should be underestimated; however, I have a feeling they will use this to their advantage. I believe they have what it takes to find justice for the victims of these cases. Well done.

So impressed!!!
What a fantastic group of young adults. Mr. Ruff is teaching them so many skills that will benefit them throughout their lives, far beyond podcasting and journalism.

Great job!
Only feed back is the word “like”. It was difficult to hear the word be over used. Besides that I really enjoyed everyone. Lots of care, work and dedication went into all and you can tell.

Amazing
You can tell the students really care about what they’re doing and making sure the voices of the subjects of the podcast are heard.

Great job guys!
Love seeing/hearing the young generation getting involved in podcasting and investigative journalism/reporting 🥰🫶🏽 keep up the good work ! I hope the families all get answers they need 🙏🏽🫶🏽🙏🏽.

Great concept, however
Love that students are working on cold cases. Have an issue with no one verifying simple statements that are factually incorrect. Bill Lambeer was a famous Detroit NBA player. Also not identifying someone by name, whose interview statements were used and is very knowledgeable and invested in this case. (Nina Innsted) But keep trying to solve these cases.

Your voices have been heard
What an incredible opportunity these kids have and they sure have made the most of it. Not only are they helping make a difference with the cases they are covering, but they are inspiring kids and adults alike. All of you should be so incredibly proud of yourselves and the work you are doing. Bob - nice job! Keep inspiring the up and coming generations to do good in the world.

Extremely Proud!
As a journalist I am extremely proud of these students! Keep up the exceptional work!

Great job…but
Wonderful works, kids! I would like to gently push back on the idea that we can be SURE that Jeannette’s murder was personal. Evidence might point that way, but we cannot be sure until the killer is caught. Making strong statements of fact in the place of strong conjecture can be very dangerous. I know this was unintentional. It is highly probable that she knew her killer intimately, and this might seem like I’m quibbling. But it is absolutely not a surety. And what if the killer was an obsessive stranger, for example. The suspect could be missed because we are “sure” he is known to her. This is an important idea to carry with you as you graduate. Make sure you fact check yourselves and don’t think of something as a fact or state it as a fact unless your conjecture has been confirmed. I’m so impressed with all of you. Keep caring, keep advocating, and keep working hard. You should all be very proud of yourselves.

A little painful
I appreciate the fact that these are young people doing this podcast however their cadence is extremely adolescent… It is very hard to listen to. The story is excellent, they’ve done great research but they do need some dictation speaking skills. I will continue to listen to see the end of this complex story.

Great job!

Great job!
These students have done a really great job. I would only say maybe slow down when you’re speaking because it can be a little hard to follow when you’re talking really fast. But other than that, amazing work!

I'm very impressed with the bravery of these young people! Most adults would be a little scared/worried about putting their voices and work out to the world. But these teenagers are killing it!

Underestimated no more!
This group of high school students has absolutely blown me away & I can’t wait for the next episode to drop (the first two are not enough)! I cannot wait to see what all of the other groups have come up with for their cases! I am officially obsessed with a podcast done by a bunch of high school students from a state. I don’t even live in …much love from Wyoming! Keep up the great work!

Great listen
I was so excited to start listening to support the high school students who made the episodes, but I have been blown away by the amazing work. Unbelievable work and commitment to telling stories that didn’t make it as big stories in traditional media.
