My go to
I have grown to rely on this podcast to consistently help me in finding my next read. Sophisticated reviews which provide information about the author or even the time in history when the book was written. The gifting of the books to one another only adds to the already entertaining cadence of the program.

Getting Better All the Time
The premise of this podcast is great--learn about books from how two sisters respond to each other's gifts. It's like being a fly on the wall in someone else's tiny book group. Or could be. I found the first season a little stilted and hem-and-haw-y. The second season/year is much improved by the addition of themes for each month, which provides enough structure that the sisters talk more relaxedly. There are still parts that sound like someone is reading what she wrote. I say, Let go! Trust that you know books and you know what you like and just have fun!

Double the reading pleasure
If you’re an avid reader, this is a podcast for you. The premise of the show—two sisters gifting each other a book for each month of the year—is delightful. In each episode, they describe their thought process in buying each book and then the sister shares her perspectives when she finishes reading. They’ve suggested books I never would have found that were quite interesting. What I also appreciate is Kristin’s recommendations of other books and authors that are similar to the books they’ve reviewed. She references her TBR (to be read) pile. I’m happily glad that my TBR has grown larger because of this podcast.
