How do Hindu rituals incorporate elements believed to have healing properties?

In Hinduism, rituals are deeply intertwined with the belief in the healing power of natural elements, herbs, mantras, and meditative practices. Water, considered sacred and purifying, plays a significant role in various rituals. For instance, the ritualistic bathing of deities, known as Abhishekam, and immersion in sacred rivers are thought to cleanse both the body and the soul, promoting physical and spiritual well-being. Fire, another pivotal element in Hindu rituals, symbolizes purity and transformation. Through fire ceremonies like Homa, where offerings of herbs, ghee, and other substances are made into the sacred flame, it's believed that the environment and the individuals present are purified, absorbing the fire's warmth and energy for health and clarity.
