Great for parents with kids that are jumping into the world of Pokemon
I didn’t grow up with Pokémon. But both of my kids are. My oldest talked me into getting a couple of level 1 battle decks and it’s been a treasure trove of quality time with her ever since. As someone without that nostalgia, but responsible for memory-making with my kids, as well as a new interest in the card game since fall of 2024, it was hard to find a good source of info to help grok what can be a very overwhelming world and subculture that spans several decades. Most podcasts and videos have way too much fluff, and are more about the personality hosting it rather than Pokemon. That being said Ezra’s and Chelsea’s chemistry is still entertaining and listening to them sounds like I’m overhearing a great conversation dense in info while in a coffee shop, about a topic I’ve been dying to understand.
They’ve been a great source of help in understanding the TCG, expansions, what to stay away from (as someone with a limited income) and a good reality check for adults who may be prone to the overvalued trap of marketable nostalgia.
Thank you!
