In this episode, we fly down to New Orleans where a Southwest Boeing 737 is taking off, bound for Tampa, Florida.

Almost immediately after takeoff the pilot radios the tower declaring an emergency.

The aircraft has suffered a major bird strike which has disabled the left engine.

The strike was so severe that several blades on the engine were destroyed.
