Jobs For Ohio's Graduates executive Chris Canova sits down and talks with Marketing guru Shon Christy.  Since 1993, Chris has worked for Tri-County Jobs for Ohio's Graduates, and in 2002 he was appointed executive director. Additionally, he is the CEO of Jobs for Ohio's Graduates, one of six state-level affiliates of Jobs for America's Graduates. Chris has spent his entire professional career working on problems related to youth workforce development initiatives. He has an M.B.A., a BA in Economics, and is a Certified Workforce Development Professional. In 2008, he was chosen by Jobs for America's Graduates as a "high-potential emerging leader" and invited to take part in the American Express Nonprofit Leadership Academy.

Shon Christy, the founder and president of Shon Christy social media, has almost 20 years of marketing experience overall, with ten of those years spent exclusively in social media. He launched Christy Creative Ohio's first specialized social media marketing company in 2010 and has since established and sold 2 businesses. He currently serves as the President of Shon Christy Social Media, where his main areas of interest are social media planning, consulting, and training. The Akron Beacon Journal, Inside Business, Smart Business, Spirit of Philanthropy, The Young Professional Roadmap, and the book Under the Rustbelt - Revealing Innovation in Northeast Ohio have all highlighted his work.In commemoration of his twelve-year-old son Beckett, Christy founded Beckett's Buddies, a fundraising organization that supports people with Down syndrome and has contributed close to $100,000 to regional causes.
