The Top Dance Songs for 2014 owes its vibrancy to versatile DJs who redefined original productions with their unique touch. The pivotal role of the DJ in 2014's EDM landscape cannot be understated. These DJs are more than just spinners of records; they're producers, artists, and influencers in their own right.

Foremost among them are EDM stalwarts like Tiesto, Angello + Ingrosso, Avicii, Calvin Harris, and Deadmau5, whose concert spectacles have turned them into multi-million-dollar entities. Newcomers like Martin Garrix with 'Animals' and Duke Dumont with 'I Got U' also made a strong impact, contributing to the Top Dance Songs for 2014.

Major labels propelled young talents like Zedd into the limelight, while producers like Cosmic Dawn and The Chainsmokers became sought after for their commercial appeal. Despite the growing popularity leading to a decrease in output for artists like DJ Laszlo and Danny Verde, their contribution to the Top Dance Songs for 2014 cannot be overlooked.
