築95年の古民家で、馬3頭と暮らしながら、子ども達へのホースセラピーの取り組みをしています。三陸駒舎のきびはらが、ホースセラピーや馬との暮らし、子どもとの関わり方、馬と地域づくり等、岩手県釜石市の山村集落での取り組みや感じたことをお伝えします。
三陸駒舎では、現在毎月のべ200名の子どもたちが来ています。発達障がい、不登校ぎみ、子どもの貧困など様々な困難を抱える子どもたちも利用しています。
三陸駒舎のある地域は、元々馬と共に暮らしていました。馬と共に働く文化の再生も目指しています。
