Soybeans led the grain complex lower on Monday after the U.S.-China summit delivered little ag news. Mike Minor of Professional Ag Marketing joins Jesse Allen in Segment One to break down the disappointment, Wednesday's quarterly Grain Stocks report, early harvest delays from heavy rain, war-premium erosion in wheat, and where hogs and cattle stand heading into October. Later in the show, John Heinberg of Total Farm Marketing joins Jesse in Segments Three and Four to ask whether the disappointment is overdone, what to expect from Wednesday's quarterly Grain Stocks report, how rain-delayed harvest is lifting basis bids, and where wheat, hogs, cattle and dairy stand as the month ends. He also flags the macro picture: rising interest rates, a firmer dollar and weaker gold and stocks.

Also in Segment Two, remnants of Hurricane Polo are headed for the central U.S., and harvest is about to hit the brakes. On this Weekly Weather Update, Nutrien Ag Solutions' Eric Snodgrass breaks down where the heaviest rain lands, why a drier October window may follow, and what to watch in Brazil as planting ramps up. Eric covers Polo's path from Mexico to the Plains, Dallas going from 74 dry days to possible flooding rains, harvest delays across the Corn Belt and northern Plains, the record-setting El Nino, and why markets may be "spring loaded" for the South America story.
