As a child he lived in East London amongst the carnage of the Blitz.
He then became a refugee and moved to Wales where as a young boy he became a coal miner.
Following a traumatic experience he moved back to the East end and witnessed some unbelievable sights.
However, it took him 70 years to speak about what happened in Wales.
