We're joined by Pearl Abyss' Will Powers to catch up on where they're at after the success of Crimson Desert and where the game is going in the upcoming expansion coming this week! The big news this week is EA laying off 400 employees including shutting down decades old studio - BioWare. Long-time e-sports organization Evil Geniuses is also shutting down. Then we get into Final Fantasy Resonance, Stupid Never Dies and a whole ton of Steam demos! 00:00:00 - Intro00:01:00 - Will Powers from Pearl Abyss is here00:04:00 - Crimson Desert Expansion00:11:30 - When does Crimson Desert stop updating?00:14:30 - How does underwater work?00:27:00 - Romance00:32:30 - Bioware00:36:40 - New combat?00:49:50 - Ship building and sailing00:58:00 - Hockey01:03:00 - Steam Slop Fest 01:11:20 - OpenAI and TwitchCon collab01:16:40 - EA shuts down Bioware01:20:00 - The origin of sad Cohh01:24:00 - Evil Geniuses shutting down01:29:10 - Project Helix rumored $120001:30:30 - New GamePass prices01:34:50 - Arkane Lyon looking for a buyer01:42:00 - Steam Demos Part 102:00:30 - Monsters & Memories02:02:50 - Enshrouded02:15:20 - Final Fantasy Resonance02:22:30 - Stupid Never Dies02:31:30 - Steam Demos Part 2 02:53:30 - Upcoming releases02:56:30 - Shoutouts See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
