Kate Dewey will soon depart the Forbes Funds after four years at the helm, but her career in nonprofits spans half a century.  She's going to continue overseeing the UpPrize social innovation competition,  which has already funded several notable projects aimed at helping others. Dewey spoke to us about Pittsburgh's reputation as a city of nonprofits, and the challenges facing nonprofit companies and workers in the current political and economic climate.
