The Pirates looked dead for seven innings, then somehow erased a 6-0 deficit and forced extra innings before falling 8-7 to the Diamondbacks. Brandon Lowe and Bryan Reynolds went back-to-back, while Brandon Eisert and Ron Marinaccio gave the offense a chance to complete the comeback. A rough start from Bubba Chandler and sloppy defense ultimately proved too much to overcome.
