Tom Jackobs sold his fitness business in 2017 which he owned for 9 years to become the Impact Pilot, helping entrepreneurs generate more income through better sales conversion strategy and using stories to sell. Tom has a BFA Degree in Theatre from DePaul University in Chicago and holds his private pilot license for single-engine airplanes and is SCUBA certified.  He has licenses for Land, Sea and Air, which will come in handy during the apocalypse.

Main Business Issues:

  • Letting go of the anxiousness when business is going well

Tom’s Key Insights and Takeaways:

  • As a multifaceted entrepreneur Tom was someone who got a lot done and his success showed it

  • He had a hard time accepting “boredom” and became anxious when his business was stable and thus “boring”

  • When we unpacked the pattern deeper it was actually something that was reflective of his childhood patterns of performance

  • The anxiousness was due to fear of “being” punished for being idle

  • Unpacking this further it allowed him to realize it was creating a distortion in how he was dealing with his team and showing up as a leader

  • Additionally, it allowed him to make the realization that he had a hard time imagining who he would be without this limiting pattern, really opening up the door for his own transformation
