Show notes
Traveling these united States with a firearm for personal protection requires managing the risk of state and federal governments who gleefully infringe on your natural right to keep and bear arms. Rules vary enormously state by state. It is prudent to research and follow requirements for each state one is traveling through and stopping in. Selection of firearms, accessories, and ammunition is critical. Transport locations and locking equipment matter. Something legally done every day in one state can land one in prison for years in another. Keith discusses these issues, shows some useful online resources, and provides his recommendations on both driving and flying with firearms. The show closes with a discussion on the U.S. and state constitutional aspects and why it is dangerous to liberty to have the federal government force states to remove carry restrictions.
