ARCHIVE EPISODE: With a longtime passion for photography, photojournalist Michael A. McCoy has had the opportunity to capture a variety of scenes and settings throughout his life. Having had clients like The Washington Post and Google, McCoy’s extensive experience in the photography field has evidently proven to be an asset to various media outlets. Much of McCoy’s photography centers around Washington, D.C. politics and highlights Black lives; with photo collections like “Unrest” (taken amidst the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests) and “The HBCU Experience” (taken at a HBCU graduation), McCoy rawly portrays what it is like to live as a Black person in America.

This is an archive episode with hosts Joe Giordano and Elena Volkova originally released in 2018.
