Dragon is ready to relax and heads to the beach. The cozy sand invites Dragon to burrow in until there appeared to be a sand dragon lying on the beach. Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story “Giving Back” this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Sand Dragon” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday! Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:04 Narrator: Female Sand Dragon Excerpt: Spreading wings wide to catch the breeze, the dragon rose above the train tracks, and waited for the sparkling train to roll by.  Then the dragon followed the train.  As they reached the warm beach, it seemed to call to the dragon.  Poof, a cloud of sand surrounded the dragon and then began to sink back to the earth as the dragon gently landed.  The sand felt so warm. With eyes closed, the relaxed dragon lied down and rolled over, enjoying the hug from the earth.  The dragon heard a giggle and a laugh and peeked to see who it was.  It was Benji the sand bucket and Paula Penguin.  They had watched the dragon roll over and found it quite amusing.  Still upside down, the dragon took a deep breath in and out. and created a smiley face in fire to say hello. Paula and Benji said, “We’re glad to see you again, too!”  The dragon smiled a big smile and rolled back over. Paula said “The sand is nice and warm tonight, isn’t it?” and dug herself a cozy hole to nestle into.  The dragon tilted its head to the side, puzzled at what the little penguin was doing. It's time for another TWO PART story! My first one (The Mistake Artist) was so well-received, and won so many awards - okay, not YET, but give it time - that I decided to tell you another one. A Giant Story is a thoughtful tale about a small person who gains the courage to quit his day job and pursue his dreams. But before he can do that, he has a steep mountain to climb. Figuratively; there are no mountains in this story. ENJOY! If you LOVE this story, please share it with a friend. If you happen to have an Apple device, leave a review in Apple Podcasts! If your tiny person wants to share a story they've written, please send photos or recordings of it to rhea@littlestoriestinypeople.com. I LOVE to see their artwork, stories, and anything else they'd like to share. BIG THANKS to the listeners who provided sound effects used in the story: MACKENZIE, MARYAM, GEMMA, MOSELLE, FELIX, KAYLIN, and REID! You can send me your very own sound effect! Just use the voice memo app on your phone, record your tiny people making a (recognizable) sound, and email it to rhea@littlestoriestinypeople.com! You might just hear your sound in a future story. Thank you to HELEN and ISAAC for helping me with the reminder at the beginning of this episode!!! Your child can help me too! Here are the lines: Remember, there are no pictures. You'll have to imagine the pictures in your mind. You can imagine them however you want. OK, here we go! My book is available NOW. Danny the dump truck feels a little down. Dory has an idea. Maybe checking in to the maintenance garage will help him feel better. Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:24 Narrator: Male Checking In Excerpt: As the little dump truck trudged forward slowly, Dory, the other dump truck, drove past him and asked, “Is everything ok Danny?” “Yeah. Why?” Danny mumbled, busy concentrating on driving forward. “You’re moving pretty slow this morning, and your tires look flat.” Dory responded. “I wanted to ask you about that.” Danny said. “My tires are really squishy, and my wheels hurt. I’m having trouble moving today. Have you ever felt like that?” Dory said, “Yes, when I have a flat tire. I usually go to the maintenance garage to check my tires and oil every other week, so my tires stay full. When did you get your last check up?” Danny laughed and said, “Oh I’m too busy to take time for that. I probably haven’t stopped by that garage for almost a year. I’m a healthy truck.” Today’s Meditation: Feel your muscles relax as you check in with your body from head to toe. Willow Wallaby explores her surroundings, keeping her mother’s pouch nearby, as other friendly animals join her in a wallaby waltz. Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:05 Narrator: Female Wallaby Waltz Excerpt: The wallabies enjoyed some fresh green grasses and some sweet and delicate flowers. With a full belly, Willow felt curiosity encouraging her to explore. A butterfly landed on her nose and then fluttered away. The little wallaby leapt about following the butterfly. As the colorful bug settled onto the high branch of a tree, the little wallaby noticed what seemed to be a couple of furry rocks rolling towards her. Alarmed she stomped her foot and quickly hopped back into her mother’s pouch. Willow mother chuckled and said, “It’s ok Willow. Meet Willie and Wylie Wombat.” Today’s Meditation: Happiness and love flow through you in this meditation. Our story today is about a tiny person joining a family as a toddler instead of as a newborn baby, in a foster care or adoption situation. Foster care and adoption can look so many different ways and this story depicts just one way it might look (from the perspective of a sweet little hamster, naturally). My hope is the story can convey some of the many feelings that family members experience during such a time and can spark a conversation about how families can grow. Thank you to the family of tiny people that inspired this story: REID, NOLYN, MILES, BLAIRE, and MASON. Today’s episode features wonderful SOUND EFFECTS from listeners GRACE, EVRYN, NORA, LUKE, BRIANNA, GLORIA, ALAINA, and SAGE. You can send me your very own sound effect. Just use the voice memo app on your phone, record your Tiny People making a (recognizable) sound, and email it to rhea@littlestoriestinypeople.com! They might just hear their sound in a future story. Allie and Andy are excited to go berry picking. Although they're just getting to know each other they're sure to have a berry fun day! Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story “Soothing Sea” this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Berry Fun,” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday! Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 11:09 Narrator: Male Berry Fun Excerpt: When Andy and his dad reached Allie’s house, she bounded out of the front door with her dad following behind.  While Andy and Allie’s dads talked for a bit Allie said, “Thanks for inviting me!  I’ve never been berry picking before.” “You’re welcome.”  Andy said, smiling.   “This is my first time too.  I guess we’ll figure it out together.” She hopped into the car and said, “You know I really enjoyed playing that Sardines game you taught us.” “Thanks. I’m glad you liked it. Oh look! There’s the brand new train!” Andy said, excitedly pointing out the window. “Isn’t it cool!” Allie said.  “Do you know why it’s sparkling?  That’s the solar paint they used.  I think it’s awesome that the train moves with energy from the sun!  Don’t you?” Andy felt surprised, then excited.  Allie understood solar power, and she liked trains.  He smiled and said, “Yeah, it’s pretty neat.  I like how the solar energy powers the motors and then the magnets inside the track and pulls the train forward or backward, wherever it needs to go.  It’s so quiet too!  Listen!”  Both Allie and Andy listened and could just make out a gentle hum as the train passed them by. Today’s Meditation: Today, you will focus on relaxing your body a little bit at a time.  Starting with your feet, moving up to the top of your head, and ending with a focus on your entire body, you are sure to feel calm and relaxed. When the sun is shining, he likes to play and go to school, or visit his papa who works up in the mines in the mountain. But!
