A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Welcome to Episode 45 of “Reel Chat” – a podcast that guarantees week in, week out – the “Reel world as we know it.”

On this very special (and extended) episode of our “Vintage Vault” retrospective series, host Adam Stolfo is joined by co-host Brose Avard, Andrew McCaskill and special guest Gerard McCullough (the head writer for The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, and who’s also written for Rove, The Project, Before The Game, Full Frontal and Dirty Laundry Live) to dive head first into their most ambitious and most intimidating review yet. Today “Reel Chat” discusses 1983’s “Star Wars Episode VI – Return Of The Jedi” – the final installment (at least until Episode VII) in the all-conquering “Star Wars” hexology.

A film of this magnitude deserves a deeper look than usual, and this episode of “Reel Chat” comes in at an “epic” running time of over 2 hours! But it’s all for a good cause, as the boys break down the legendary third (or sixth!?) chapter of a saga many regard as the most important franchise in movie history.

Learn all about it’s iconic cast, the billionaire filmmaker who handed over his directing reigns to a relatively unknown (Richard Marquand), the universal hatred of the alterations made to it’s 1997 Special Edition re-release, the underwhelming death of Boba Fett, whether or not Princess Leia is a Jedi Knight, what side of The Force (good or evil) is the strongest, John Williams’ incredible sweeping score and it’s numerous releases, differences between the 1983, 1997, 2004 and 2011 versions, as well as the ongoing dilemma of having to wait for Disney to release the original theatrical version on Blu-ray in the best possible quality.

This is certainly an “epic” podcast for an “epic” movie. Gear-up in preparation for “Star Wars Episode VII – The Force Awakens” on December 18th.
