Great pod, even without Simms. Makes it even better that youâre an Eagles fan. Keep it up
Iâm going to be brutally honest. I expected the show to absolutely tank after Simms left. What I didnât expect is that Iâd actually enjoy the show more without Simms. The original show would have some awkward tension at times. I think as much as they learned from each other, Lefkoe wasnât able to fully express himself while he was stuck in Simmsâs shadow.Lefkoe, if you happen to read this, youâre killing it man keep it up. Youâve got a great energy right now. Simms leaving could easily have broken your spirit, I respect the heck out of you for digging deep and taking this head on. Keep it up and Fly Eagles Fly!
Just isnât the same without him
This show is garbage without Simms. Lefkoe is trying way to hard and for some reason has changed his voice. Maybe he figures it out in a couple months but this podcast is no longer a must listen.
Your absolutely killing it. I loved the both of you working together and was curious how it would shake out, but the direction you took the podcast the last two shows has been absolute fire. #thehomies #33%
Leftkoe im a big fan of the show I donât miss one show ever, but you have to remember some us are also big fans of nfl teams. So like your recent podcast was annoying you continually bashing my Steelers when Iâm already disappointed in the fallout. You can most definitely cover it and voice your opinion but 11 reasons and a whole segment on the ab situation was really irritating. Other than this keep up the good work.
Listened to two episodes minus Simms, Iâm out. Lefkoe has no one to check him or his opinions. I would listen to Stephen A Smith if I wanted these kind of takes
Might be better with out Simmsy ð
I get double podcast now that my football parents have broken up
Is Godâs gift to sports journalism.
I didnât like Simms but I respected his opinion. I freaking hate Lefkoe.
Favorite podcast ever
Great interview with Pugh! New subscriber now after that interview
Adam Iâm 56 years old and I know Charlie Jones. Great job!!
Have been listening for two years and havenât missed an episode. Unfortunate that some changes are coming but couldnât be happier with the body of work here. You guys always kill it!
The past episode was great. You guys killed Super Bowl week. LEFKOE MAANNNN
Man, that was bad. Had to :30 skip alllllllll the way to 12 minutes left in the podcast to listen to a couple former Eagles confirm the obvious for 90 seconds. It wasnât the TRUTH because it was revelatory, it was the truth because it was a basic fact.
Best football takes / podcast ever!!!!This might be perfect for your shows at Dantanas.Drink if:1) an article of the constitution is invoked2) someone makes a comment about swearing (after someone swears)3) something âscaresâ Simms in a film breakdown4) A âSimmsismâ happens - reading between the tea leaves, etc...5) Simms uses a word in the wrong context6) Simms uses a big word in the RIGHT context7) Lefkoe interrupts SimmsLove you guys
You guys are awesome. I wish everyone would speak the truth on these teams especially Trubisky not having a horrible year and Nagy being too cute on O.
Best doing it!
As a former peewee QB I love getting the breakdown from Simms point of view. And being a Philadelphian, I ride with Lefkoe
First time I heard Josh, I hit that subscribe button. Can we fast forward the football stuff and get on survivor already. ðMore power to you guys.
Truly a podcast for the players who support the players. Great work guys
Best football podcast out there tell it how it is
I discovered these guys over a year ago on Le Batard show thanks to Chris Sims top 70 quarterback list and been a consistent downloader and listener of the show ever since. content is funny and evaluation of football is fair and I find their analysis more helpful for fantasy football leagues than actual fantasy football shows... They also accomplished a feat I did not think possible, they made me change my mind on Phil Sims in that he is actually a funny guy and someone that I can actually enjoy listening to on their shallow as opposed to when he was just a broadcaster on CBS
I started listening to Simms and Lefkoe about 2 years ago. Iâve always loved football, but these guys have a way of making you passionate! I look at football problems differently than I ever have before, and itâs super fun. Iâve learned to think critically about the sport. There are only two problems: 1. I frequently get mad at all the TV broadcasters when they say things I donât agree with, and 2. Everyone thinks Iâm crazy I respond to something they said with, âWoah! Big offseason!â ð
These guys go against the usual bs narratives; sometimes itâs comical, but it is always backed by legitimate research and film. Canât stand most the arguments people make but I love the way these guys dissect the game. Makes my Tuesday/Thursday 5-12 shift bearable.
This pod is starting to be more about betting than anything else. I just wanna listen to football but lefkoe makes everything about betting. Lefkoe was given to much say with this podcast and is turning away good listeners who just like football. Oh yea ask Simms to talk about the raiders not just their opponent next time but heâs the man and so is josh! Just. Hate. Lefkoe.
This podcast is 5 stars because of Chris Simms. He is great at breaking down film and communicating his insight to listeners. Sometimes the weird, gimmicky sound effects and the cheesy announcer voice get annoying, but the insight of Chris Simms makes it worth while. Simms presents a unique outlook on the game, being a former player and dabbling in coaching for a brief time. Chris Simms is a star. Keep killing it.Ok cool, Hook Em. ð¤ð»
Love you guys!! I win my confidence pool at least a couple of times a year because of this podcast. Between guarantee to lose and straight up talk on the score i can rank my picks. Chris knows football like a Stock trader knows stocks your gonna get value every week. Lefkoe has such great stats and is funny as hell. Holla holla holla
Maybe you guys have covered this previously , but Iâd love to hear how much film these NFL commentators actually watch? Now that Simms has unveiled how theyâre fed info from team personnel Iâm very curious how much is their own opinion.
"The answer is in the dirt" a quote from former NFL great Jason Witten. Jason delivered to the quote during a team meeting when the struggleing Cowboys were looking for answers to get their season back on track. The hosts of this podcast, Simms & Lefko podcast have found the answer. They work hard every week to bring listeners the best information on everything NFL. Listeners recieve the interesting and important information on NFL teams and players. Chris Simms, former NFL quarterback, transports the listener into the film room as he breaks down key matchups. Co-host Adam Leftko provides timely insights that he backs up with analytics. Both Simms and Leftko help keep the show moving by interjecting hummor and mirth throughout each episode.
Best football pod in the game, started listening to you guys after Simms was on Lebatard with his 70 best QBs! The show is great too!
The podcast is amazing! I first started listening before the Eagles Super Bowl win, and been listening ever since! Was just wondering what you guys think if the Packers hired an out of retirement Arians and a soon to be fired Todd Bowles as the HC and DC for next year, then signed Leveon. Donât forget about the 2 first round picks they have coming in next years draft also, looks to be playing out to be a good draft to get defensive players in the first round so they could sure up the front 7 to support their young and talented secondary. If all this happened and they had solid hits on the two firsts, would they be next years Super Bowl favorites?
I came for Dan LeBatard, I stayed for Chris Simms
As someone who hates that dreaded red notification badge, I clicked on that stupid Facebook bell one Wednesday afternoon just trying to rid myself of that red â1â. B/R Live wanted to tell me that Simms & Lefkoe were LIVE NOW, âwho the F*** caresâ I thought. Upon trying to clear it I landed myself on the live feed thinking âOh, two dudes talking about the NFL, originalâ. I just as swiftly navigated away. One week later B/R AGAIN wanted to tell me, Simms & Lefkoe were LIVE NOW. Damnit Facebook, pick up what Iâm throwing down Iâm not interested in this. The following week was the same story, or was it? I found myself tuning and becoming genuinely intrigued by what these two random dudes had to say. âWOAH BIG SHIFT IN OPINIONâ. The rapport between Simms & Lefkoe was one I hadnât heard, mutual respect, no fear in arguing cause their relationship is built on solid bedrock and most endearing neither are afraid to call themselves out. Oh, how many times Iâve self-scouted since learning the term. Each bring something different to the table and their bromance is truly something beautiful. Simms you better f***ing learn Lefkoeâs birthday. It was all over from there, Lefkoeâs and my shared Eagles fandom was just another hook line and sinker in an already caught homie. I recently re-listened to the episodes leading up to the Eagles SB win. Lefkoe, I cried at the gym after listening to your post win reaction (for the second time). Simms I hope you keep singing on national TV. I look forward to the pod (and show) and miss you on the off days. From Philly peace out homies, Mt. Airy would say good evening and for the A S H (woMAN) holler.
Simms and Lefkoe are funny as hell and know there stuff!
OHH SIMMS ANDLEFKOOOE, YOURE THE GREATEST PODCAST HOSTS WEVE EVER SEEEEEN. But on a real note, they work perfectly together, Simms brings the hard knowledge and truth, Lefkoe brings the social media and excitement aspect. Itâs like Lefkoe is interviewing Simms for an hour and a half but also Lefkoe brings up really good stuff by himself. And good old Fendrick. Hi Josh.
Easily the best football podcast. âI donât know how else to say itâ
Great podcast overall. Enjoy the show a lot. Listen to it every time it comes out. Only thing Iâd suggest is less talk about the eagles. We get it, Adam is a big fan ... but that doesnât mean I want to get long discussions every podcast about them. If your going to do that, least talk about every other team too the same way .... overall amazing podcast. Other then that, you guys are doing an amazing job!
Simms and Lefkoe keep it real like no one else in the game. Their breakdown of film has taught me so much and given me a whole new appreciation for the game. They arenât afraid to stick up for the players, the environment or people anywhere who still arenât given a fair shot in this country. This isnât a fantasy podcast, but I still credit their breakdown with helping me win my league last year. This is the only podcast I listen to from start to finish without fail every single episode. Keep up the great work guys!! Love watching you get your due and become household names. P.S. You all should do an episode with Brett Kollman. He breaks down film on YouTube and he and Simms would have some incredible conversations.
I am very disappointed in this podcast and there undying support for Malcom Jenkins despite all of his wrong doings. They claim to be the âPlayers Podcastâ but they religiously support the one player who sold out the rest of the league for his own selfish organization. They claim to be âSelf-Scoutingâ. UNLESS it makes them look bad or Adam has to talk bad about one of his precious Eagles players. I canât believe I wasted so much time listening and believing what these sellouts told me. #IStandWithEricReid#IKneelWithKaepernick#MalcomsTheNewKanye
I love you guys! I just found you this year and I love every episode! I love the honesty and the insight into the real NFL and not what is being shown through NFL news. I loved Lefkoes rant on OBJ. I used to be someone that would listen to the sports news and thought thatâs what was really going on and Iâm glad my eyes have been opened. Love the knowledge and insight you guys bring to the pod.
Lefkoe can you have Simms stop saying âself-scouting yourselfâ?
These guys get down and dirty when talking about football. They truly are guys that love the game and are brutally honest. My favorite listen by far. Good stuff guys. Fly Eagles Fly
Chris âmy daddy played football so that makes me relevant too Iâm gonna find a way every single show to bring up how I used to be a quarterback because Iâm that insecureâ Simms is full of himself and has no clue what heâs talking about half the time. Lefkoe what the hell is up with his voice it sounds like he spent three hours yelling into a pillow or he has like a huge ball of snot in his throat that heâs talking through. Or both. 0/10 would not recommend his voice every time he gets close to the mic or lowers his tone itâs soooooo cringeworthy.
Ross is getting slammed a lot for his performance against Carolina. We were expecting Tyreek Hill-like speed and explosiveness. What is the tape like? Is he actually not that fast? Is he anywhere close?
Bring Back âGuaranteed to Loseâ !
Loved your what if Simms is drafted by the Cowboys. Imagine what happens if he gets drafted by Cincinnati and Marvin Lewis? He probably has about 56,000 passing yards at this point and maybe the Bengals have a Super Bowl.Yes, Iâm desperate for you to talk about the Bengals!
What can I say about this show what hasnât been already? I stumbled across the pod by accident maybe about 6-7 months ago. I had seen simms and lefkoe do some short training camp videos once, both had a great chemistry. After the first show I was hooked. Chris brings a behind the curtain look in regards to the NFL that other commentators seem afraid to discuss. Lefkoe, with his background in reporting, creates a great back and forth flow(although he does cut off simms at times ð). This podcast has become what I looked forward to most on Tuesdayâs, Thursdayâs and Fridayâs...not to mention a great show on at 5pm(pacific time)on the BR app! Iâm sure many will say I sound like some dude at BR hyping the show, i promise Iâm not. Iâm just a simms and lefkoe homie who decided to give some much needed respect. Keep it up fellas! ð¤ð½
