I enjoy the in depth news stories on this podcast. Frequently I learn something on this podcast and then hear it repeated a few days later on the national news. Some stories interest me more than others but even when I donât think I will have much interest in the subject, I learn something new.
Love the pod. Learn so much from these guys. Not sure why they have so many rebroadcast of old episodes
Fantastic reporting and incredible interviews. I love the relevant information and well rounded stories. Great job. And thank you
I appreciate that they work collectively and I most appreciate when they avoid centering whiteness, which definitely creeps in unfortunately.
Everything is now a rebroadcast of old episodes. :\
For all those that no nothing but the privilege the were born into just stop it. When ever thereâs any type of leveling done is when u become frightened and itâs is why we now have a Cheeto in the White House. Thank you for this podcast.
What else is being kept alive is the poor poor me, look how unfair, Iâm a victim and thatâs my excuse mentality of those who believe they deserve compensation for the hardships of their ancestors at true expense of the current population.
EXCELLENT journalism! A real winner. Not only do they give you an array of topics but all of them are interesting. I have learned quite a bit about many things I had never thought of before.
Podcasts like this redeem my faith in humanity, and almost makes me want to become an investigative journalist myself.
The host is excessively self-righteous and the reporting over time has morphed from investigative reporting to investigating solely to further an agenda. Enough with the political grand standing and preoccupation with racial issues, stop âcrusadingâ under the guise of genuine investigative reporting and refocus on genuine investigative reporting already. If you ever manage to do so, Iâll consider resubscribing.
If you are investigative reporters then lay out the entire the issue from all perspectives. Enough with the emotional appeal of finding a single person who expresses the narrative you wish to portray and building a case around that story. This isnât reporting...
This show is aight. Some episodes are good and some are awful. The host is full of himself too. While I like the CIRâs print and online work, other countries do better investigative journalism radio than this: see File on 4 from the BBC and Background Briefing from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
Iâve been listening to Reveal for a few years. The reporting is exceptional. The topics are always interesting and what I love most about the podcast is that I learn about things I never read about in major newspapers.
You did not do your homework. Why did you not try to interview leading parental Alienation experts like Dr. Amy Baker or Dr. Craig Childress? I agree that that parental alienation can be used as a defense inappropriately but to dismiss that it actually happens is unconscionable. Typical alienated parents have no idea why their child has done a complete 180 and does not understand that alienating behavior is taking place until itâs too late. The alienated parents I know Are the ones who have lost their children for years and have no idea when and if they will ever be reunited. Most struggle with severe depression, many have attempted suicide, and sadly many have succeeded. Please go back and do more research. There are plenty of parental alienation support groups you can find online. Interview these people. Do your homework. The typical alienator is a narcissist at best. Their tactics are insidious. That is the real story that needs to be told. Youâll free to contact me for more information. You can message me at my Meetup group surviving parental alienation.
I was so excited for this podcast. Listened to 2 episodes and unsubscribed. I want to hear facts, unbiased. Iâm capable of forming my own opinion, stop trying to feed me yours.
Or, at the very least, the kind of journalism that Reveal does certainly is. Thanks for everything you do, folks! And as for the rest of you: DONATE.
so yâall are just doing rebroadcasts now? :( lame.
While they are getting better at labeling them, I wish they would stop recycling so much material. This is a 5 star podcast, but I canât stand the repeats
Just discovered this little jewel of a podcast!! Well done! Easy listening and informative and interesting!
I heard an episode of this podcast on KUOW, and ever since, Iâve been hooked. Listening to around 3 episodes a day, I canât seem to get enough! If you are looking for interesting stories that teach you relevant things, this is one of the best out there.
Great job to all of you ! This series has captivated me with its stories and immersive sound design. I can just sit, listen and my mind puts me there right next to each person.
Outstanding works of journalism.
It takes hard work getting to the truth. Thank you for doing that work. How do listeners send donations?
Just sat in my car for 20:00 just to listen to this broadcast. Excellent! Thanks
I go to reveal for important exposés and trust in the good journalistic reporting they do, told here Iâm a competing format
I recently started listening again, I cannot wait to go back to the old episodes. The stories they cover cannot be found elsewhere.
This podcast doesnât make new episodes available through the podcast app.
You investigated for 18 months but could not figure out how to pronounce Jesuit?
I so appreciate this podcast and keep coming back to check if thereâs a new one Iâve missed. They dig deeper and get into the âwhyâ and âhowâ instead of just the âwhatâ that most report provide. Whatever the topic, I always find it fascinating, and canât wait to share what Iâve learned.
Itâs often difficult to listen to because of the content, but the way it is reported is excellent. Thanks for your hard work!
Reveal is amazingly high quality reporting in todays age
I initially wrote a long and drawn out review, suffice to say that I listened to the Orlando nightclub shooting episode and it was almost immediately obvious the bias harbored by these individuals. I do not think it was out of bad faith (which is why it didnât get 1 star) but I do expect more from people who purport to be revealing the truth of matters (which is why it didnât get 5 stars)
excellent reporting, but you just had to bring in the weird choir gimmick thing for tesla episode. itâs awkward.
Iâm always amazed at the amount of work that goes into each investigation, and Al puts it together in such a powerful, compelling way.
I liked the show till they started talking about the police trade in firearms like they were selling them in the back of a gas station to some thug felon. But the truth is the podcast is ignorant on how any of this works because they always throw up the gun show loop hole and there is no such thing donât believe me go try for yourself and quit listening to the talking heads because everyone that says that just sounds out right retarded!!!! So with that being said I will not listen to this podcast ever again because if they truly investigated the topics of the trash they spewed out the mouths they would know that!!!!!
If you miss excellent quality, in-depth investigative reporting, this is the show for you. The research is on point, the content is diverse, and the stories are riveting. While I often tend to multitask while listening to podcasts, with Reveal I find myself just listening raptly to get the full story. Thank you for doing such excellent work!
This show is amazingâthey delve deep into important issues.I think the comments by users kidelo and Atlaung or whatever are offensive. Sorry, but vocal fry is is how a lot of the younger generation talks now. Iâm tired of all these older white men complaining about women radio hosts with vocal fry. Please get over it.
Reveal provides excellent reporting and story telling capabilities. Props to Aura Abogado and Neena Satija.
Thanks for keeping me in the loop on so many stories I wouldnât fully understand without you.
The way in which they seek to deliver the unbiased truth gives me joy. I donât always agree with their choice of topics, but I do appreciate the fact that they always seek to get the truth.
Just discovered this podcast. The hosts voice is incredible and I love showing both sides of issues.
So Good. Bringing to light things hidden to so many of us if it werenât for this podcast. True reporting & keeps me on the edge of my seat.
I LOVE this podcast! Investigative journalism at its best!!!
I love this podcast. They do such a good job at covering many different stories. Love it!!!
Al Letson is such a good reporter and is always covering interesting subjects.
It is so refreshing to know that there are true journalists who are willing to dig deeper than the 24/7 news outlets. That there are still journalist that are willing to look past the five second catch phrase and report on the truth is remarkable. Because the truth is revealing of who we are as a country and as global citizens. The journalists search for the truth is heroic and so is this podcast.
Slowly but surely, layer by layer, the story reveals itself. Mesmerizing and an example of great storytelling.
The latest episode about WWII war crimes truly âRevealsâ another side of combat. An amazing podcast. Sometimes listening to the stories we donât want to know about can change our opinions and push us to stand up for change. Thank you REVEAL!
This used to be a great podcast that I really enjoyed. Hearing both sides of an argument letâs me choose my opinions. Then Trump was elected and this podcast veered so far left I have been picking and choosing my episodes. I was excited for the most recent one on WWII. I am admittedly obsessed with WWII history. Because itâs war atrocities are committed on both sides and I like the âuntold storiesâ. I donât condone what the Americans did, but I understand that these things happen when you put people in a position they can never be prepared for. I donât condone what seemed to be only prosecuting Nazis, but I understand that it happens when the people leading the investigations have lost countrymen and friends to brutal leadership, deportations, and extermination. The reporters seeming lack of empathy for the people who fought in this war was the last straw. Unsubscribed.
