I liked this when it started, then they changed the hosts and it became annoying. James McKean is awful. The podcast was ruined when they took it out of the studio. I understand they want to show off the amazing vehicles of the guests but make it clear in advance you're done with the audio podcast and switching to a YouTube series.
Not really digging the new format where the host is driving around LA with the guest. Sound quality and content suffer.
Having interviews in cars is terrible to listen to. All you hear is car noise and echoey conversation, of which there is not much of because theyâre trying to focus on driving!
The new format and lack of the previous hosts has ruined Car Stories. The banter and relationship between the hosts made the show so much better than the riding in cars chatting with the new guy.
Hate the new format, Kyle always carried Mckeon. Itâs almost unlistenable (if thats even a word it would apply here)
Great podcast! Latest episode with Shane from Motec was my favorite so far. The fact that you interview people who are removed from the mainstream and are pillars in the aftermarket/enthusiast sector of the automotive realm is your secret sauce. Gail Banks, Magnus Walker, etc. and or the engineers from the oems, or the spy photographers.... just awesome. It's great to get the behind the scenes look and technical side of things. It's a good time to be a car guy.
I love the podcasts. A must have for any auto enthusiast. Great guests from all corners of the motoring world. The hosts make a good team with a hint of dry humor which makes the show informative and fun.
Love the guests and the hosts!
Listen regularly to your podcasts and simply love them. The podcast with Ralph Hudson was fascinating. Keep up the great work. Thank you!
Love the podcast guys but we need more James!
Enjoy all the stories. Great content. This is one of my favorites.
Great show, with an amazing variety of stories.
The interviews are so good.
couldnt stay awake, its like a pbs show zzzzzzzz
Great show
Love hearing the stories of all these great guests.
I'm a die hard auto enthusiast, both vintage and modern. I've tried several automotive podcasts and I've found Car Stories to be the very best.AJ does a great job as host. He turns the episode into a story, by drawing out the guests with a narrative interview (some other car podcasts tend to follow a cookie cutter set of questions). Also the production quality is pretty good since interviews are generally conducted in person at the Petersen museum rather than over the phone. Lastly there's a great variety of guests from car designers to racers to restorers. One week you might be hearing about driving at Le Mans in the 70s and the next week about the hot rod scene in LA and the following week automotive video games. Great stuff, really enjoy the podcast.
I love this podcast. Every guest has surprised me over and over again at how interesting they are. Many of them are folks I've never heard about in the media. AJ has an uncanny ability to make them so interesting. Maybe it's because he does such a wonderful job listening and eliciting information from his guests. Check this one out.
Amusing anecdotes and some random car tidbits you wouldn't otherwise know. Always good to stay in the loop. AJ Gordon (the host) manages to always have an interesting topic, keeping the podcast fresh and exciting.
A.J. is a terrific host and the mix of guests is great. One of my favorite podcasts!
Found this due to The Smoking tire and Chris Hayes's shout engine podcasts. Some of the greatest short stories of mostly the LA car scene, but not limited solely. A lot of behind the scene stories of many cars, builders, and just like minded car buffs, like a lot of us, that share the same vision that most of us do... Enthusiast cars that can drive us home after a long day of hoonavers-ing..Dedicated to Blake Z Rong, Miata reliability and his new gig... Of not being a automotive journalist... Where ever you are Sir, may the Schwarts be with you. I'll see you all at the Petersen.*(Ya'all if in Texas)
AJ's smooth baritone voice soothes me as I fall deeper down the rabbit hole of automotive nerd-dom.
Best car podcast ever. Love the guests AJ gets in each week.
Love the interview format, great guests and the questions asked are great
Keep them coming great job..
Look forward to each episode. Keep it up!
On my hour long commute everyday I listen to a few different podcasts. My favorite being Car Stories. A must have subscription for any car guy!
Well made and entertaining - worth a listen.
Iâm not nearly as knowledgeable as these guys about cars but I always feel like Iâm keeping up and I walk away having learned some cool new facts.
Perfect to listen to on your drive to/from work, at work, or any time really. The podcast is in-depth enough to entertain more hardcore enthusiasts while not alienating more casual car folks. Awesome podcast and a great list of guests.
Iâm a podcaster with a focus on the automotive world. I love A.J. Gordon and Carstories. A.J. has been a guest on my podcast, Cars Yeah, and heâs quite the expert on cars and the hobby. Give CarStories a listen and youâll love the show like I do.
Really love listening to this podcast. I listen on my way to work and find myself laughing and learning a lot about cars. Definitely something to listen to no matter what age you are.
What's not to love? Great job!
A "must listen" for those interested in cars and the automotive world.
This podcast is great! They get the best guests if you're a car nerd like me, and they keep the conversation simple and fun if you are just getting started with your auto obsession. LISTEN NOW! You won't regret it.
I love learning out the a-list interesting car guests this museum books.
Always informative and in-depth!
The Petersen Automotive Museum consistently books exciting and engaging guests. A must listen for any car fan.
I just wish the sound levels were consistent. Some episodes are hard to listen too.
Really good entertaining interviews. Definitely worth a listen
