What we believe âhumanâ is is under revision. And with that so too what it is possible to âbeâ or âbecome.â âIâ am able to master âme.â With some âsupplementsâ ... as aids :) Excellent pod.
Thank you Tim for bringing guests on the podcast from a variety of political viewpoints. We need more non-combative conversations like these.
Iâm a big fan of Timâs work; books, podcast, YouTube clips, but his interview with Charles Koch was VERY disappointing. Pure Koch propaganda. Did Tim even realize he was being used?Thereâs a new book on the Koch empire, âKochlandâ very insightful and revealing on how they operate - shines a bright light on activities the Kochs would rather keep hidden. One of their talents is PR. This podcast was an interesting glimpse into how the Kochâs spin a narrative. I think this interview shows a blind spot in Timâs abilities - how to handle a less than honest guest. Heâs great at dissecting talent, one of the best out there, but needs work as sifting through the BS.
Very disappointed. You know the harm they have done and are doing.
Its amazing that you can judge someone without all the facts. Learning more about this man was fantastic.
Not sure I agree w all the detractors over Timâs choice and how he may have sold out. Koch has a lot to say. Iâm not sure I know enough as I get my info through trad media. When I listened I was wondering what Charles may not have been saying that the media picks up on as the evil and sinister Koch industry agenda to bend politics to their will. I did hear him say that the Republicans in general were more closely aligned w their values but that other political leanings were also in their camp. I heard Charles talk about climate change being real unlike many conservatives. That doing whatâs best for uall is more important than the individual a country a corporation etc...His biggest statement of interest was when we attack the individual we make it inherently more difficult for consensus. When we attack the policy and not the person we stand a greater chance if a win win. Iâll take that all day long. Tim is a great interviewer and podcaster. This was certainly a different person to interview w a politically charged past that I still need to dig into to make a fair assessment but I didnât think Tim âdrank the kool aidâ.
Very insightful look at KOCH and his values . Well done !
Appreciated Timâs interview with Charles Koch. The number of close-minded haters out there continues to amaze me. I donât subscribe to the views of many of Timâs guests, but itâs important to hear from different points of views. Great interview, Tim!
Did he do a deep dive on the life and politics of Charles and clever himself into a ârationalâ justification for this episode? Or is he just stuck in a white guy, tech bro, meditation bubble? Iâm a white guy in tech, our blind spots are endless and require endless work. Meditation can be a powerful tool but it hardly gets you off the hook and is not the real work. Bye bye.
Was my #1 favorite podcast, but had to unsubscribe once he made the decision to give Charles Koch a platform on his show. Really sad to see. I always thought of Tim as one of the good ones. Now, I can only conclude heâs either terribly ignorant about the true evil of the Koch brothers, or as another reviewer said about this episode, âTim has no soul.â So disappointed.
