203. Iluka on Marvin Gaye 'What's Going On' (1971) and why it's relevant again today

Sydney soul-folk hippy goddess Iluka returns to the show to talk about her recent rediscovery of Marvin Gaye's classic of RnB social consciousness raising 'What's Going On', and why the album's plea for understanding resonates as much today as it did in the era of civil rights and Vietnam. My Favorite Album is a podcast unpacking the great works of pop music. Each episode features a different songwriter or musician discussing their favorite album of all time - their history with it, the making of the album, individual songs and the album’s influence on their own music.
