The inside look at game development and the candor the devs use is unheard of in podcasts. They show transparency isn't bad, it's incredibly compelling.
It's a good practice for kickstarter campaigns to keep you updated on progress like this. So glad I backed this game.
This is a great podcast if you are interested in game design, unity3D, and a lot of other in depth development talk. It is also good for some relevant gaming news and cool guest from the gaming community. Obviously if your interested in the game they are making republique then it's a definite listen.Overall a great team of people that love games and love talking about marketing them and enjoying them.
Nominally this podcast is about the development of Kickstarter success Republique, and it is about that, but it's also about game design in general, production, the business side of things, PR, and so much more. Each 1.5hr+ show is loaded with regulars and special guests from voice actors (the guy behind Metal Gear Solid's Solid Snake) to developers from other companies and projects. The conversation is fascinating and the cameraderies is delightful, making for a pleasurable listening experience. Also, there's Dark Souls. Subscribe and learn about making games, doing what you love, and Dark Souls. Dark Soooooooouls!
This podcast gives a very interesting glimpse into game development at an indie studio. If you are interested in that kind of stuff, it's pure gold. Thanks guys! And I look forward to paying the game!
I backed Republique on Kickstarter but never listened to the podcast afterwords. I've recently been going through the first few episodes and it's quite good.It easily ranks up with Idle Thumbs as a great way to learn about the game's industry and an entertaining way to get the inside scope on what seems to be one of the most intresting games coming out in 2013.
A bit "insider-y" about game dev, but that stuff interests me. Mainly about one game but in such abstract to really get insight into general thoughts and feelings about game making.
I really love listening to this developer podcast. Everyone on the show is great to listen to and it's some fantastic insight into the development process (as well as just a bunch of fun talk about games in general... and Dark Souls :p). Much thanks to Ryan and the team for putting together this awesome monthly podcast!
Really enjoying it.
If you have even a passing interest in how games are made, I can't recommend this podcast enough. As a backer of the Kickstarter I am completely fascinated by the progress updates but as a gamer I love hearings about the successes and failures throughout the development of the game.Keep it up Camouflaj! Can't wait to play the game.
A great look into the process of how a game is made. Please do more heavy technical talk.
I'm one of the Republique Kickstarter backers and so far I'm enjoying the insight into the game's development. I've listened to the two podcasts that have been released and they have been fun to listen to and I will keep up with them. I would recommend these podcasts to anyone who's interested in games or game development. Interesting stuff guys. Keep Hope Alive.
I like the format, the content, and the overall direction. All that former radio experience paid off! :)Good luck on the game, guys!
Really enjoy peeking behind the curtain and seeing how a game company like Camouflaj operates. Fascinating!
It's always awesome when a team of talented people take the time to share industry insights with their fans and the community. Combine that with talented guests, and you've got a recipe for a great new podcast! I'm really looking forward to hearing more about Republique's development and watching the continuing growth of Camjouflaj!
A really interesting and indepth view into the Camouflaj studio and their flagship title, Republique. Ryan and his team are incredible and talented. And, having this transparent view into game development is refreshing. Plus, the last section with the voice director Kris, Soundelux DMG's Chip, and actors Rena and David is especially interesting (wink, wink).
If you care about game development at all or just want to hear David Hayter (Snake! Guyver! Awesome Dude!) hum this is the podcast for you. An exceptionally produced, intimate look into an extremely promising game and studio.
