This is the best !!! Iâve been saying these things forever !! Omg so glad someone is getting the word out .. all of this was and is so important !
He interviews people who donât have credible knowledge and experience in many of the topics. This causes rampant misinformation in the podcasts due to the lack of knowledge and the hosts inability to find reliable sources of information.
Everyone should listen to this podcast. Really gives us hope that we can enjoy good health with diet and lifestyle choices. Don't be lazy! Think about what you are doing!Suggestion for guest speaker: Dr William Sears. Thank you,Barbara
Lots of eye opening information, great guests and family friendly! Love that Abel doesnât have on a bunch of meat heads dropping f-bombs. Also, love the fact he doesnât bow to corporate sponsors. Everyday is something different, never gets old. Abel is a genuine, down to earth dude you just want to hang out with. Keep up the great work!
Hello Abel, my name is Pablito Iâm from Argentina living in Florida. I discovered your podcast by luck and I feel grateful for it. I was having food hate because there are so many conflicting poo ya of view that really made me hate food, I was always tired and Iâm still over weight but I lost 14lbs by starting to intermittent fast and going back to basics. Thanks for the guidance through the podcast and looking forward to your book that should be home soon :) May you be happy and joyful
I started this two days ago and have already lost my first 5 lbs. I am looking forward to getting back to my high school weight. I love the podcast and enjoy the solid advice and non-preachy format. Keep it up!
I love this podcast so much. My favorite way to start my day and drive to work. I really appreciate how Abel brings in a variety of guests with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. He is strong in his stance about overall health, yet is always open to hear different viewpoints, learn, and gain new insights. I love the transparency and how this podcast opens the dialogue for different perspectives that needs to happen in the health space. With so many people/things taking the âmy way or the highwayâ approach (and putting other people down) in the health space, this podcast is a true breath of fresh air. Keep up the mission of the podcast, Abel- it is a true inspiration to me!
abel and alyson are changing the world!! i started listening to the podcast about a month ago and i am hooked! i bought the book, started eating wild and have already lost 8 pounds!! seriously loving all the guests you have on the show and your message of health! in the world we live in today, podcasts like these are SUPER important to spread the word! thanks so much for everything abel and alyson!! you guys ROCK!!
I liked your episode with Gary Collins. It helped push me to do a health detox (phone, spending, sugar). You have a fun vibe on your interviews. I also think your improv at the end was great. You have a great voice. Will add you to my podcast lineup so I donât miss out when I am back online.
Abel is a fantastic interviewer and is one of the few hosts that really takes the time and effort to study his guests and their work before he interviews them. This makes a clear difference in the quality of each interview. He really knows how to pull out insightful information from his guests to make a positive impact in the lives of his listeners. I was honored to be a guest on the show and immediately felt a deep connection to Abel. This is an incredible show with invaluable information hosted by an amazing human being. Highly recommend you check this out.
I really like the show content, his voice & guests. I can no longer deal with 7 minutes of intro and adds ... I have limited time and itâs frustrating when you just want the show to start. Sorry & just constructive feedback - hope to come back someday!
A lot of great people are pulled in, but itâs the same interview youâve probably heard somewhere else. I had to draw the line on a recent Q&A where Abel spent the first half pitching a product, then gave some anecdotes about kettle bells and protein, and finally criticized carnivore diets in zero-evidence fashion. Thereâs a significant debate right now between plant and meat camps, and it deserves more than opinion, especially considering that both sides have incredible success stories. Unfortunately, because the host is âjust a guyâ, the content needs to go above and beyond, and Iâm not sure it does.
I absolutely endorse Abel and his vision for pursuit of dreams, refinement of method, and enthusiasm for the process as we make our way towards happiness, fulfillment, and better lives. Thank you so much Abel for producing this wonderful show. Cheers, Thank You, Errh!
Always super interesting guests, Abel is engaged and educated, clearly working hard to be prepared.

Okay, I found this podcast somehow randomly & started listening... & then I kept listening... & listening... & then I was like okay... let me really put this to the test... this âWild Dietâ thing... So, I bought your book as well. Suffice it to say Iâve been won over. I will follow up with a more detailed story on your Facebook page (assuming I can find it) & Iâll be sure to drop a review of the book on Amazon. Keep up the good work. ðð¼
I have been a big fan of the show for a very long time and a frequent listener. I have his book and have followed his content. This podcast is full of excellent information, but I use the term for lightly. Overtime the podcast has transitioned into 80% content 20% as. This episode I just recently listen to didnât start until 12 minutes into the podcast. 12 straight minutes of able advertising his products. I completely understand the need to advertise to keep a podcast running, but 12 minutes in the beginning and more than five minutes in the end is too much in my opinion. I will keep listening for now, but if the ads increase I will find a different source for my information. If you do listen, use the rule of thumb and fast forward through the first seven minutes.
Every episode is packed with really useful information!!!!
Abel, I have always lived a pretty healthy lifestyle. Thank you for your podcast and getting the truth out there on âgood fatsâ and great living. I hope to live even healthier thanks to you and the functional medicine people out there. Love to hear you interview Dr. Zach Johnson from the Livewell Clinic in Iowa.
This podcast is amazing. The different guests you have shed light onto many aspects of life that arenât always shown. I was hit by a car 9 years ago and have suffered massive brain loss and had been diagnosed with epilepsy. Your show keeps my mind working while I am at work and I am always making notes from the information provided by your show.
Noelle Tar & Stefani Ruper: this podcast has been the story of my life. So good! 5 stars!!!Thank you Abel for bringing them on your show!!! This talk of the shame cycle was especially important for me to hear. Well, I heard it and it helped me a lot!!! So thanks again Abel for your fantastic work!!!
I wish there was a new episode everyday. I love using the info i learn in the show to learn more about my health and keeping my family fed as well as possible.
Long review :) I just started listening to your podcast and have now finished the one with Chaz and Alyson. Both great discussions and information. I am addicted to podcasts and having been a trainer and instructor for 25 years, I listen to several health and wellness podcasters. I really like the âfeelâ of this one. Educational, real, yet fun too. I look forward to more!I especially enjoyed listening to your wifeâs chat with you. I am now in my mid-50s (with four kids in their 20s) and have held Alysonâs current fitness lifestyle since I was in my mid-30s. After playing sports all my life and working out intensely everyday like Alyson talked about, I got into doing shorter, effective and intense workouts (HIIT style) and then mix that with yoga, tai chi, general flexibility and core routines. As a result, I truly believe Iâve prevented injury to my body as Iâve aged. I am grateful to continue to teaching indoor cycle, instruct yoga and crossfit, and am so thankful to still be able to enjoy climbing, hiking, biking and kayaking with my husband. I also practice modified Keto (a little more protein since I workout every day). I also love intermittent fasting and do this three days a week for hormone balance and much more. This has taken away all of my menopausal symptoms after a radical hysterectomy two years ago. Anyway, keep up the great work. Youâre definitely on the right track! :) Thanks for sharing.
This podcast is amazing. I learned more from this than any other keto broadcast and Iâve listened to a lot. The only one that comes close is The Obesity Code, which explains keto just about as well.
I enjoy the down to earth and practical aspect of this podcast.
So excited to have found this show! Iâm not only impressed with the physical results but the mental results from the tips in this podcast. My job has been very stressful, and Iâve realized how important my diet and exercise is when it comes to focus. Lastly, my favorite part is that the cravings are gone!! I look forward to eating veggies and REAL food. Please give this a listen itâs will surprise you, I promise.
I recently discovered this show and have already listened to every episode I can get my hands on! I love the wild diet approach and it has added so much value to my life. Able if youâre reading this I have a podcast request: I love the weight loss Iâve seen from my diet change however my boyfriend is more metabolically blessed than I and he is looking to GAIN weight. Any wild diet recommendations??
Love the show but I donât get a chance to listen often because the video aspect requires podcast app to be open and using the screen. So my phone is effectively disabled (pun not intended) when enjoying the show. Wish there was an audio only version.
I was 530 lbs on January 7, 2018 and had decided enough is enough. Iâm 6â4 and 36 years old and felt 80 most mornings. I have 3 young children and I want to be around for them. I started eating this way out of luck because I just found stumbled onto this pod cast a week ago. In January I cut all grains and sugars from my diet and started what I thought was a low carb high fat diet. I then tweaked it to a low carb moderate fat moderate protein diet in February and after hearing Abel on this pod cast realized I was following his plan, AND IT WORKS!!! Just weighed in today at 447 lbs 83 pounds lighter in roughly 4 months. I have never felt better. After listening to two years worth of the show I have started to incorporate vitamin c and fermented veggies to my diet. I think this show is great!! And have been sharing it with my friends and family. Thank you Abel for all the information you have opened my mind up to. It really is amazing.
This is the best story Iâve heard so far listening to podcast. Actually got emotional listening to it this morning. This is my first review ever for podcast too. LoLIâm going to Loweâs today!
I just started listening to this podcast and I find so full of information with guests that share valuable information on healthy ways to eat and live. Great job Abel!
Listened to your interview with Naomi from Glow 15. Great interview. Both of you speak so kind and calming, and both so informative. Just bought her book on Amazon. Will listen to another of your podcasts later tonight. Iâm sonya. Age 50 and lost 60lbs on Keto , from Ft Lauderdale.
I LOVE this podcast!! Abel has been taking me down the road to better health for myself, fueling my passion for learning about food as medicine and all related topics and has motivated me to even change my profession so I can help others. I have never listened to an episode I didnât like! Thanks for what you do, Abel and Allyson!!
Been working on loading my corner team with a wealth of information and motivation to get ready for a healthier me and your podcast is leading the team mr Abel. Thank you for being a voice every morning on my way to work and the end of my runs! Keep bringing in them awesome guests and people wonder what kind of caffeine or drugs Iâm on with my positivity in the morning, itâs just a venti of Abel James no sugar and all natural cream folks!!!
I love listening to Abel James but have been caught up for awhile and miss the podcast! He is an honest and entertaining guy who has got the right idea about a healthy and livable lifestyle. Anyone while listens will love this podcast!
A lot of talking with little useful information - juggling, off road unicycle, etc. No detailed specifics in the first half of the podcast. âGive up sugar for 30 daysâ - there - now no need to listen for an hour. Too much of a time waste to listen to the second half. BTW - listening to a juggler on a podcast is like getting excited by a naked babe on a podcast.
Really appreciate Abelâs wisdom and warmth. He is a gifted teacher, and Iâm grateful that he shares his talents with his followers as he does. Huge fan here!
I found out Abel James because of his Wild Diet Book. I love the show!
Every time I feel as though Iâm backsliding I tune in and get excited all over again and reinforce my clean eating habits. Thank you Abel!
Yes - exercise and diet are amazing and do amazing things. But they arenât cure allâs as professed here
I work in the medical field and see how western medicine has digressed, itâs frustrating how I work in the medical field and when I had medical ailments, it wasnât until I went to a Homeopathist that I started finding out what was causing my issues. Every specialist I went to just wanted me to get on the next ânew and improved pillâ. I want to fix my problem, not cover it up. Listening to this podcast has also helped me progress in my physical health healing process. I love it and it makes sense.
Great easy to digest content that shares easily with others.
Abel's book and podcast has changed my life. The information he brings is second to none by himself, let alone the wealth of knowledge from all his guests. I now listen to about 12 different podcasts weekly just from guests on his show. Always entertaining and well worth the time.
One of my favorite podcasts! I love the diversity of speakers, the fact that Abel interviews people with different opinions and engages them in such relaxed, open, and interesting conversations. Very refreshing and always inspiring.
I really appreciate this podcasts relaxed tone and attitude that is also motivating and inspiring! There is no one-stop shopping when it comes to health. Thank you for preaching this message and allowing me to finally stop feeling bad about myself when I feeling like I need to eat a potato or muffin here and there. I was getting into the mindset that eating had to be all or nothing. Of course, that left me feeling deprived, hungry and depressed. Hearing the continued message from the varitey of experts that finding balance is the key to success, has brought me to be more successful on my journey to health. I love that each show is unique but continues with the same underlying message...Love yourself, keep moving, and Eat in a way that honors your body, mind and spirit. You guys rock!!
I've been listing to this podcast for several months and I love sharing the information I hear with my husband and family, they all want to know how I became so knowledgeable about health and wellness and I always tell them The fat burning man podcast! I've had to buy 5 of your books because all my friends and family want it after I tell them about the Wild diet! Our family eats Wild now and we've never been healthier!
Abel asks the best questions and never interrupts his guests. I've learned so, so, SO much from this show! "Subscribe," but also go back and download all of the older episodes that spark your interest. That's what I did and I currently have 35 episodes to listen to!
I first started to listen to Abel's podcast back in August of 2016 and I was 5'5", 199lbs. After listening to just a couple of episodes I bought the Wild Diet audio and paperback book. After implementing the principles I learned in the podcasts and the the book I lost 29lbs in the first 4months! I didn't follow the 30day fat loss plan I just change my way of eating. My wife had always been on the crunchy-organic side of life but she also listened to the book and started gearing our meals towards the wild side. She has always been thin and in-shape looking but still managed to drop below her high-school weight even with our two boys demanding her time. Exercise was minimal as I work about 60hrs a week and she manages a business and our kids all on her own. Our success was 100% due to living Wild. However, my weight loss has stalled. I haven't regressed which showed that the weight loss was real and done healthily. The holidays set us back as we traveled a lot and ate what was put in front of us. I have noticed a big change in my stress and energy level since coming off the Wild Diet. It's amazing how much our food affects our daily lives. BUT, we are getting back on track and taking charge of our lives once more. Living Wild is the only way to be and I'm glad that we can continue this journey while our kids are still very young and impressionable. We know now that there is no alternative for a happy healthy life, not when we have experienced it WILD!
Why does he always start with the same 10 minute long commercial.
This podcast has truly changed my life and this review is long overdue! I began listening to this podcast the begninning of 2016, I think I have listened to every episode and a few a couple times through. I have learned so much from the guests and began my Paleo journey while listening to Abel James. I truly believe the knowledge I have gained from this podcast has helped me cure myself of amenoria and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, not to mention feel amazing, look great, become stronger, leaner, healthier, and happier. There's something for everyone in this. Highly recommended if you want to 'burn fat' lose weight, get healthier and learn more about nutritional science. Abel does a great job with keeping the podcast entertianing, never boring, and there aren't all those adds you hear in other podcasts. Thanks Abel!
