I love listening to Jim's stories. He knows so many secrets and forgotten stories behind everything Disney. I learn so much during every show. Jim and Len are great together!
I absolutely enjoy listening to the funny intro Len does for Jim, I enjoy Jim and Drew too. This is a refreshing and informative âeducationâ on the history and context for present day Disney. I enjoy geeking out on the science behind the crowd management, rides and shows! Highly recommend!
Great informative podcast!!!
Great informative podcasts.
Apparently Jim hill will read anything on the TelePrompTer too and everything ends with a question mark. Jokes aside great podcast feed some shows are better then others but all in all great content, the Disney parks pod with Len Testa is the best Disney parks podcast out there
More Len please!
Loving all of the new additions. Really like the taped interview from Fine Tooning. Disney Dish with Len is still my favorite, but the others are really great and needed.
Been following Jim since his blog started. Like his conversational style. Dealing with rumors is tricky, and I don't expect him to be right about everything (he isn't.) He is open about what is and isn't a rumor and comes right out and admits when he's wrong which is refreshing. He and Len put out a great show and I'm surprised at what a good job he did finding new hosts and expanding the show lineup... except for the Marvelous one. That one I had to stop listening to. You can hear Jim doing his best to extract some enthusiasm from his cohost, but it became too aggrivating to continue with. I'm not saying I need blind positivity- most other hosts manage to deliver their criticisms in an entertaining and honest way. I can't believe Jim can't find another Marvel host that won't make it seem like pulling teeth just to keep up to date with one of the world's most beloved brands.
Jim's set of podcasts are the best, bar none. Just want to highlight the newest, "I Want That" with Jim & Shelley on Disney merchandise and other related topics. So many of us are collectors of Disney/Star Wars/Universal/Pixar/Marvel items and this latest addition fits in so well with the rest of the Jim Hill lineup. Thanks for all the great shows.
Love the banter between Jim and Drew and their stories are a great way to escape from the realities of everyday life!
Favorite podcast to listen to and get hyped whenever a new episode pop ups on my feed.
As literally a life-long Disney fan, itâs normal for friends, family and co-workers to seek me out to help plan their vacations. And, I LOVE TO DO THIS! But it is very difficult to keep up with whatâs happening, although more importantly to know what will happen next, and why. Jim Hill and Len Testa through so many resources and in particular The Disney Dish make me look good every conversation by keeping me well informed with current Disney Parks insight and behind the scenes intelligence. I particularly like the way they connect the dots that explain how the ideas, concepts, and history contributed to what we see and experience. Thank you guys.
Great info. Enjoy the show. If only Jjim Hill could kick the upspeak habit. Every sentence is not a question. Otherwise: great podcast
Love the content, but the execution could use some tweaking. Not a fan of coughing and pounding on some surface in my ears.
Jim and his cadre of friends seem to know more about the Walt Disney company than many of the cast members I know. Their insights and educated guesses provide us answers to questions we didnât know we had. Truly an entertaining collection of podcasts, from everything Disney, Lucas, Marvel, Pixar, and Universal, as well as anything animated. This network collective is the place to hear it first.
Who couldn't love the mensa minded, sarcastically witty Len Testa, teamed up with the perennially, but loveably unstable Jim Hill? I only wish there were more and more episodes. Genius.
I loved this podcast when it was Len and Jim talking Disney. I didnât mind the addition of the marvel us podcast because i like marvel. But now thereâs several others, all playing on the same feed. And you canât tell from the titles which episode is for which show. This I hate. Iâll get in car thinking I have 6 podcast to listen to and hit play only to find there may be one Iâm interested in. Iâm sure others enjoy the other topics. But I really wish theyâd put them on separate feeds or at least label them so I know whatâs what and can just delete the shows I donât care about.
Jim hill is fantastic! The other guy on the marvel podcast is very similar to the stuck up guy at the record store growing up, nothing is good enough, doesnât make sense, etc. They are movies made for entertainment! Not comic book documentaries. Guess what you not paying to see a super hero flick that isn't up to your "comic genius" isn't stopping millions of going or studios making sequels.
You guys rock. Keep up the great work. Love the show.
Subscribed to this Podcast as "The Disney Dish with Jim Hill" by touring plans... then all of the sudden there are about three other Jim Hill podcasts appearing on this feed that I have absolutely no interest in. After a quick search, I now see that the Disney Dish is on a different feed and this one has turned into "Jim Hill Media Podcast Network". They changed the name and logo after years of this being the Disney Dish feed. Seems rather dishonest.
Jim and Len are so incredibly well informed, and listening to them is a always a pleasant experience.
Absolute love the show! Would love to hear about discovery island. Also would love to hear comments about the recent YouTube video taken in 2017 that shows the current status of the abandoned park. Keep up the great work!
Jim, Len! Star Trek and Universal? What's the deal? I'm seeing tons of rumors about a Star Trek attraction/land/park coming to Universal Orlando's "4th" (cough-cough) gate. I swore off Universal Studios Orlando after one visit (the summer of 1990) and never looked back. I know there is some Star Trek history at the Orlando park, and some at the KSC Visitor Center. What does the future hold for us Trekkers at theme parks? Live long and prosper! And to keep things Disney, "May the Force be with you!"For a bonus question, was it rec.arts.startrek, or rec.arts.tv.startrek?Love, love, love the show. Can't wait to hear how the bobcats and bunnies story ends. No spoilers, please!
Great content, great hosts, to the point and entertaining!
Jim Hill and Len Testa are basically Disney nerd gods. If you only listen to one Disney podcast, this should be it.
I got into this podcast because it was Len and Jim talking about the parks. A lot of great info (even if some of Jimâs prognostications didnât pan out), and some really nice rapport between the two men. But now we have all these side series - Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Universal - which, while related to Disney, have tenuous connections to the parks. Great info, but not what originally brought me to this podcast. And frankly, these other series suffer from Lenâs absence. In short, the podcast has drifted from its original format of talking about the parks. Technically, yes, talking about Lucasfilm and Marvel is still Disney âdishâ, but itâs becoming unfocused and bloated - âThe Jim Hill Talks About Whatever He Wantsâ podcast. That is certainly his prerogative, but thatâs not why I started listening. I still give this four stars because I love the Jim + Len eps talking about the parks.
Where is episode 1 of the Universal series? Not in iTunes feed today.
So entertaining, lots of great information. My favorite Disney podcast by far. Keep up the good work fellas!
This a great podcast. I love the stories, the history, the behind the scenes information. I love Disney and learn so much. But why only a 3??? Because they never finish a story, chronological Disneyland has been going on for 2 years! Still waiting on finishing Indiana Jones. The love of everything disney!! FINISH A STORY!!!!!!!
I always enjoy the podcasts and it makes me want to go to WDW!
Love, love, love this podcast. Teaches you how to be a theme park nerd. Listening to this show is an important ritual in my week.
Disney intellect, with humor. Love it. Wish you would do more YouTube. Loved seeing all you guys in the TP videos...
I can't get enough of Len and Jim talking Disney. Always interesting and informative. Love the show!!
While I like the regular updates about the parks from this pod my favorite podcasts are the in depth histories of different aspects of the parks. If you are new to this pod I suggest starting with the chronological history of Disneyland
I really enjoy listening to this podcast. Always learn something new and interesting. I also really like the episodes about Marvel. Great podcast.
Enjoyable but inconsistent. Seems like it is not updated like it used to be. But this is still one of my Disney favorites.
I do a lot of driving, and I love Disney lore. When I get a hankering for some tales of Disney's past/present/future, I love pulling up new and old episodes of the Disney Dish. Jim and Len do a great job of discussing the backstory of what Disney thought about creating and followed through on. So good!
Great stuff. Lin and Jim are awesome. Never dull and itâs always entertaining.
Jim Hill and Len Testa always deliver with breaking news, perspective on rumors, and context on the parks' past. I have long drives from Buffalo to NYC and nothing passes the time quite like this podcast. I've heard every episode (including the bonus stuff on Bandcamp) multiple times and I love hearing what the future of Disney was a few years ago and comparing it to what actually happened. Both Jim and Len are constantly funny and informative; this podcast is worth any Disney fan's time.
I look forward to this very intelligent take on Disney each week. The history and behind-the-scenes knowledge come together with unique humor and insight. Great job guys!
This show is amazing! The inside information given with commentary, helps paint a better picture on the future of the Walt Disney company. Jim and Len are very informative. I always look forward to new episodes.
The new Marvel Us podcasts are just whatâs needed. Just the right amount of information.
I was once a fan of WDW Today, but since that show has gone downhill, I've promoted Disney Dish to my top go-to podcast. Jim's stories are great and it is awesome hearing about not only projects coming, but also past projects that were never made (for one reason or another). Len and Jim have both become better podcast hosts and the production quality keeps improving! Keep up the good work.
Jim and Len have a great rapport and you can tell that they have a genuinely good time talking about the subject matter. The two best Disney historians Iâve ever heard. They know this stuff inside and out, great mix of current events around the Disney company and the history as well.
I listened to all of these in about 6 months. Now I have to wait every other week!! Itâs a great podcast- fun, interesting, informative. Jim and Len are awesome to learn from. I impatiently await each episode! My absolute favorite.
Jim and Len give such interesting info about the parks and park history that you can't find anywhere else.
Loved, loved!! Len's analysis in response to the listner question regarding Disney and a "living wage" in the last episode (History of Fantasmic part 3). Always great insight from both Len and Jim, and well thought out and well presented analysis. Disney history, statistics, analysis, fun stories and great hosts!!
A must listen to podcast for Disney fans!
It's a nice back and fourth. Not abrasive like a lot of the theme park podcasts are. Jim is full of information and Len keeps the conversation moving amazingly. Great duo.
This is, by far, my favorite Disney podcast out there! Len and Jim are a treasure trove of information and it's nice to listen to a show where the hosts aren't talking over one another. Keep it up!
