Melanie has a way of making you feel like you are sitting beside her âsipping lemonade and chatting about the scriptures!! It has made me so excited about Come Follow Me!
Hi there! Our family LOVES your podcasts! Thx for keeping it real! We are wondering if you have podcast email address? Weâd like to email you in a more private setting ð¤ª
Love this podcast. Very real and helps understand the come follow me curriculum
So real. Thank you for being vulnerable and human. This program was inspired for us....humans having human experiences. Iâm grateful for your tender hearted testimony....and especially your tangents!! I wouldnât change a thing. I drive a lot for work and I look forward to hearing my new friend Melanie when Iâm driving. Thank you for this sweet gift. You are a gift. Xxooxo.
Melanie you are amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful soul and testimony! I look forward to this podcast so much and feel like I need it in my life. Keep up your awesomeness!
So yes the first time I listened to the podcast I was distracted by the âtangentsâ but quickly I realized that those tangents are Melanie being real and âlike meâ. They are endearing -I laugh with her and I cry with her! I love listening to her podcasts now and they donât come often enough! I LOVE her ensights! Thanks Melanie!!
This podcast is touching my soul. I love that you share your personal experiences and take on things. I feel the spirit of God reaching out to me to do and become better as I listen to your words! Donât change a thing. Share as you are guided! Truly a blessing in my life that I hope will help me bless the lives of my children and others!
I love this podcast, because it gives me an opportunity to listen to the testimony of someone who is like me. Like Melanie, I have lots of thoughts. This podcast is a great opportunity for me to hear how she manages those all those thoughts especially during scripture study. Which thoughts are revelation? Whatâs worthwhile, whatâs not? Hearing Melanieâs love for scripture study gives me hope that my scripture study can be beloved too. Additionally, and more importantly, I feel a greater desire to be more like Jesus Christ in specific ways when I listen.
This podcast has helped me so much in my preparation to teach my kids. I always feel so amazing when I get done listening to it. Very powerful, Very Uplifting!!!!
I loooooove this podcast. My heart is filled every week I get to hear Melanieâs voice and listen to her testimony and feel of the spirit. This is one way for my cup to be filled throughout the week
Especially on the week it it my turn to teach at home. Sometimes you have insights I never thought of. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Melanieâs experiences make me laugh, cry, and feel closer to my Savior. I love her insights and connections to other scriptures or conference talks, because I am not very well-versed, and I donât think I would take as much away from Come Follow Me if I hadnât found this podcast! I love it! THANK YOU, Melanie, for being so incredibly brave to follow the promptings of the Spirit to create this podcast, and for being so courageous to share your shortcomings with all of us, so we can all learn together.
Love this podcast. The podcast is a great companion to the Come Follow Me manual. Love the insight and personal examples.
Beautiful spirit. Love the way she can take you to where we need to be, by listening to her personal life experiences, then relating it to our weekly âCome Follow Meâ lessons. Thanks for sharing Melanie!
I Love this podcast. I thought about making a come follow me podcast a week or 2 ago. Then I found this one. And, wow! I love it! I listened to all of them in one day and am working on listening to them a second time. Looks like thereâs another one. But, this one is so down to earth. I love the personal experiences that are shared. My only complaint is that itâs only once a week. I really hope Melanie launches some other podcasts so I can hear much more from her. I feel thereâs no way that my podcast can even compare to hers but she said go for it! Thanks Melanie this is such an inspiring show and itâs super fun Too!
You share your heart with us as you teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for bringing a perspective from a divorced side of life and how you can keep going on. Itâs not an easy world we live in and itâs great to have other people share their heart and their struggles and how Jesus Christ helps you through all of these times. From one Arizonan to another thank you for sharing your heart â¥ï¸
I love the way she shares her personal experiences. I learn better from examples. She brings the scriptures to my level. And a plus my son love listening to this podcast with me.
Thank you, thank you Melanie for this podcast!! Iâm 43, I have four teenagers, and thereâs something about this stage of life that strips away the non-essential stuff and I find that the only thing Iâm left with is Jesus Christ. Your podcast has voiced many of my own thoughts, and youâve given me new ideas and perspectives in each episode. Since you love Jen Hatmaker, Iâm sure youâre already familiar with Brené Brown- but if by some chance you havenât read her books or listened to her TED talks- you should! Youâre doing Godâs work. Thank you for following promptings from the Spirit. Iâve shared your podcast with family and friends and will continue to do so. Shine on, my friend.
Iâve struggled with depression for a long time. It was better for a couple years but had gotten worse again. I was looking for an uplifting podcast to help ease my suicidal thoughts and self harming. These thoughts are not on the surface. They are deep in me. I recently got a calling teaching 15 year olds on Sunday school and the anxiety of not knowing enough has tormented me. My mother in law mentioned this podcast. I thought it would help only with my lesson but it has done so much more for me. I love your vulnerability. For someone like me who needs a friend but doesnât know how to communicate it, when you speak of your struggles and what youâve learned to overcome those hardships with the help of Christ, it gives me hope. I donât feel so alone or lost. I love that you are not scripted and I love your tangents. Keep going girl, youâve helped me be a better mother to my girl through your words and have helped me turn to Christ when Iâm down.
ð´Absolutely perfect!!! ð´Keep sharing your personal stories. Just like you said about the Lords Prayer earlier he gave you an example, now make it your own. Iâm never going to be able to teach a lesson or give a talk or share my testimony without sharing some kind of personal experiences. Itâs the only way I know how.Thank you for sharing your love and knowledge of the scriptures. You make me want to be better and turn to my eight ball every time I listen to your amazing and personal insights. Thatâs why I tune. â¤ï¸
I canât express how much I love Melanie and this podcast! The podcast has helped me tremendously and is truly invaluable. Thank you Melanie, for your example of faith and love for Jesus Christ. You have inspired me to do rather than just learn. I love the Book of Mormon moments idea, also. One podcast a week just isnât enough, thatâs how much I love it!
I love this pod cast! I love all the personal feelings and stories. I find myself talking right back to her saying " I totally I understand!" Please keep up the awesome work!
I listen to tons of podcasts, too many to keep up with, but when I see this one I always listen right away. I love the inspiring stories and I love that she's keeping it real. Especially with church material it's easy to feel like we need to project this perfect persona, like anyone out there is perfect, so I think it's really helpful to hear about other people who struggle with things that I also struggle with. It's very positive and makes me feel good and helps our family with our Come Follow Me studies with some really interesting perspectives. Thank you!
The rabbit holes you go down makes you and your podcast more relatable. You definitely have a talent for relating the scriptures to your own life. I have a hard time relating to the scriptures. You are helping me learn and see how to relate them to my life.
How I love this podcast! Melanieâs faith, humor, and personal stories all enhance the topic of each lesson. Thanks to her example, I find myself reading the scriptures more often and getting more out of them to carry me through my own trials. Donât change a thing, Melanie! Iâll follow you into your podcast closet anytime. âºï¸
Someone on my ward relief society Facebook page ask how families were dealing with the Come Follow Me program in their homes. One of the sisters suggested your podcast She said she liked it so I started listening. I loved it so much I created a Marco Polo group with my daughters and granddaughters and suggested they all listen to you. Iâm trying to get a weekly conversation going between all of us to share what we each learn from you on Marco Polo. This will bring us together as an extended family as well as generate conversation in our homes about the new Come Follow Me program. Thanks Melanie, for being so real! Thanks for sharing your faith and love of the gospel and Jesus Christ with us! Iâve been through divorce as well. Ive been that single working mom. Iâve dealt with trying to remain active with an inactive husband. Youâre doing a great thing here!! Keep it up! Shine on and keep sharing, your light encourages me to keep learning and growing! By the way, there is hope, I am now in year 9 of a wonderful marriage with a great man who serves in the temple with me every week! With your bright outgoing personality, great faith and beautiful spirit you will find that great love you deserve!
This has been so inspiring. Thank you for making time to do this podcast. It is the highlight of my week.
Very down to earth!!
I think Melanieâs personal experiences MAKE this podcast. Everyone has the manual and can read from it but itâs how you APPLY it and how it changes you that matters. I feel like thatâs the whole point of the Come Follow Me Program. Weâre supposed to take what theyâve given us and let it change us. So good work Melanie! Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your life with us. My heart is touched every week.
Gosh, I love this one. I love the host and her quirky, funny sense of humor. She is a gifted teacher and insightful lover of the scriptures. But maybe most important of all, she is human. I find her so relatable and real and itâs just so refreshing to have this level of gospel wisdom combined with true humanity and humor.
I love this podcast! Thank you for sharing your real life experiences. You bring more light into my life as I listen and do! â¤ï¸
I find myself anxiously waiting for each new podcast! I have been telling my friends and family about how awesome and helpful this is! I love how relatable Melanie is! I feel like weâd be great friends if we lived close to each other! She also has a wonderful spiritual talent for interpreting the scriptures that I donât have! Thank you for helping me to get 20 million times more out of the CFM lessons!
I look forward to each weekâs episode. I feel like I am with my friend chatting about how much we love the Savior, how much we fall short of perfection, but how much we rely on His grace to carry us one day at a time. I highly, highly recommend this podcast!
These podcasts are the best part of my studying each week, I look forward to them and hearing Melanie's insight and stories just help bring things into perspective for me! Keep being you which is down to earth, humble and so much fun to listen to!
This pod has been a light in my life, helping me to draw closer to the Lord and giving me motivation to continue on my own. Thankful that she shares her personal experiences, tears come easily when I hear them and relate to them so deeply. You are so strong and your spirit is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us. P.S. when I pray over a meal, I ask that it will give me the energy that I need for the day, or that it will be what my body needs to continue with my day. (If this is an idea that is new for ya, my Venmo is @MakenzieMarie ðð)
I really love this podcast! I don't listen to a bunch of podcasts, I have tried, but I just canât get into them. So, when my super awesome little sister told me about this one, I have to admit I kind of blew her off. Shame on me, I know. Good thing my sister is persistent, and she helps keep me on the strait and narrow. After I listened to the first episode, I was hooked like a fish in the dawn hours. Each week I laugh out loud and weep as I feel the influence of the Holy Ghost. I identify with your personal stories and gain insight to the scriptures and the Come Follow Me program. I have played this podcast in my Mom minivan for my captive audience of four children (ages 14-8) and they also love it. Sometimes, I don't listen to it all at once, just so that will last longer during the week. It honestly feels like I have just sat with a good friend and had a bucket-filling conversation, and I look forward each week to listening to the next installment. I also enjoy the web page, so that I can get the quotes and stories that you refer to in your podcast each week. I have posted Come Follow Me for Us on my Facebook page and the comment that I have most often gotten from my friends, is that Melanie "Speaks my language." It is refreshing to have someone open up and be real, not to just paint a pretend picture of perfection. What you don't know, Melanie, it that we really could be great friends - the only problem is that neither of us would get a word in edgewise. I would highly reccomend this podcast to everyone!!
I'm filled with admiration for Melanie, who has a messy life just like everyone else does and is brave enough to share her joys, sorrows, experiences, and humor with the world. I want to love Jesus the way she does. This whole CFM program is amazing, and Melanie just makes it a little bit better. Thank you!
I love this podcast! You are so funny and everything you say touches my heart I love listening to you before I get ready for school!
I am absolutely loving this podcast! Helps me reflect on my own weaknesses and strengths. I love Melanieâs ability to tell an everyday experience and turn it into a spiritual teaching moment. Tangents are her (and my) friend.
Thank you for being real and sharing your testimony. Your podcasts are a bright spot in my week. I have shared it with so many people.
I am always so sad when each episode ends! Iâm so glad I found this podcast! I always feel the spirit and learn so much from her personal experiences and thoughts that she shares! I have shared this podcast with my whole family and would recommend it to anyone who would like to laugh, learn and be uplifted!
Just started listening to this podcast to help improve my scripture study and I'm so happy to have found it. Excited to learn more from Melanie :)
This is such a great resource and study help for the Come Follow Me program! Melanie keeps it real and is so fun to listen to.
You can feel as you listen how much Melanie loves the gospel as you listen. I love how personal she makes this. She makes it all so relatable. I could listen to her all day long!
I was having a hard time studying the come follow me program- I just couldnât figure out how to make time for it! #priorities BUT my aunt recommended this podcast and Iâm so thankful she did! I tried a couple of different podcasts based around the come follow me and theyâre good but I found my mind wandering in a non focused kind of way! In this podcast I am laughing! And crying! Good tears. Like hits my heart and makes me feel so happy and at peace. I love her âtangentsâ. She makes the gospel REAL. Kay this review is long enough, but Iâm a big fan. And I feel like we are close friends as I listen. I am so filled. Thank you for making a podcast!! Itâs the motivation my soul needs.
I donât think weâre going to be held accountable for how well we follow a gospel script but how weâve taken that script and imbedded it into our everyday life. I love how youâve illustrated this by sharing your comings, goings, doings, and most importantly your becomings! I love your vulnerability and your honesty of hard things that youâve experienced. I love how you share the beauty of these gospel principles and help to make them feel and look â3Dâ and not just 2D(on paper). Ilook forward to your podcast every week. Thank you so much for following the spirit. What a blessing youâve been.
I love everything about this podcast! Itâs such a great help in studying each weeks lesson. I love how simple she is and how she shares stories. I canât say enough about this and how lucky I was to come across it. There are other podcasts with deeper formats, you can look for them if you donât like how she presents. I choose this one simply for the way she presents. I love the stories and the personal real life words she shares. I didnât know you could clean your nose out with alcohol and q-tips and I loved the analogy she used with that story for example in that lesson. If you donât know what this means youâll have to go back and listen. This has been a blessing for me and wonderful aid to my personal study time. First thing I do in the week as soon as itâs up. Love this podcast! â¤ï¸
I adore this podcast and Melanie. Although I donât know her personally, I feel like I do because of her authenticity. She is real. Her stories are real. Her feelings are real. When listening to this podcast itâs like having a sweet, light, and happy gospel discussion with one of my sisters and I look forward to it each week. I laugh and I cry and feel renewed. My testimony grows each week as Melanie shares her raw testimony with us. Keep it up my sweet friend - you are a light.
I look forward to listening each week. I value hearing your personal experiences because it helps me recognize Iâm not the only one experiencing certain things. Iâm learning and growing from your experiences but also its opening conversations within my family to talk about our own experiences. Thank you for being willing to be vulnerable and share your love for Christ.
I only listen to a few podcasts but this has become my favorite! Don't apologize for the humanity that you put into your podcasts as it's one of my favorite parts,. Well, that and your tangents, insights, humor and french fry reviews. Thanks for taking the time to do this and putting yourself out there. Rock on, Sister!
