On this week's episode we take a look at Beautiful Boy and Suspiria.  We also discuss the specialty box office, mourn the loss of FilmStruck, some buzz on Mid90s and inspired by Suspiria we reveal our favorite Art House Horror films. Art House News: At the specialty Box Office this weekend, Suspiria opened on just 2 screens but scored a massive per screen average of $89,900.  Mid90s debuted last week to a per screen average of $64,500 and in wider release this past weekend, cracked $3 million. FilmStruck has been cancelled.  After AT&T bought Time Warner a few months back, there were hints at some major changes and it looks like FilmStruck is a casualty of those changes.  If you are looking for some (free) alternatives, we suggest - Kanopy / LeCineClub / MiniFlix.  There is a petition to keep FilmStruck alive that you can sign HERE. New Films: Beautiful Boy (dir. Felix van Groeningen) Suspiria (dir. Luca Guadagnino) #CedarLee3: This week’s list of films you should be watching was inspired by Luca Guadagnino’s artful remake of Suspiria.  We discuss our favorite Art House Horror films: The Eyes of My Mother (2016), Don’t Look Now (1973), Let the Right One In (2008), Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986), Hereditary (2018) & Revenge (2018).  Tell us about your favorites @CedarLeeTheatre using #CedarLee3.
