Iâve only listened to the first two episodes but...GURL. Too much negativity and ignorant commentary. Specifically in relation to the joke from my title, which is harmful to those with STIs and was made about an actor/character in the second episode. Would not recommend. Very little actual content.
You are so funny and wonderful, I love everything you do! Keep doing what you are doing.
I wish they did a podcast for all of my favorite shows. They have the most infectious laughter and cheer me up every time I listen!
Kelly and Molly do a great job on making light of a dark show.
Listening to these two is like listening to two girlfriends trash talking at the next table at Starbucks and you get to listen in. Funny, sometimes catty, often insightful.
I recommended this podcast on the Handmaidâs Tale subreddit, and thinking I had done the bare minimum to spread the gospel of these cool broads, I went on my way. Then I looked back to that thread recently and saw the other comments talking about how annoying this podcast is. I immediately questioned my taste: despite having listened to and enjoyed Red All Over, was it actually Bad? Are they annoying, their voices shrill, their jokes dumb? But then I remembered that men are on reddit, and men are terrible and also hate women. Kelly and Molly are hella cool. I want to drink diet ginger ale and eat nachos and consume a slothâs weight in bourbon with them. I want them to take me to get my ears pierced. If they told me to give the Big Bang Theory another chance, Iâd consider it. Sure, they make jokes. This world is garbage and the world in this show is like radioactive garbage. The jokes make it all feel a little less terribly bleak. And they donât have shrill voices, they just made the mistake of being women on a podcast. Theyâre funny, theyâre smart as heck, and theyâre all out of birth control.
Listening to Kelly and Molly is like sitting down with a couple of close girlfriends to talk about this show through the lens of our own lives. Even though I am definitely old enough to be mom to both of you, you are my podcast BFFs. Love you both.
My bestie turned me onto this Podcast and I love it!! I have an hour commute and this has REALLY helped it go by much faster! Way better than Cincinnati radio. Kelly and Molly are so fun and I love how they interact. They do such a good job reviewing the show. I donât know how there are negative reviews on here!? Those Lame - Oâs donât know what they are taking about. You the real ones girls! Thanks for what you do!
Please do another movie episode. Love getting to listen to you about other things besides THT. I watched Troop Beverly Hills just because of you!
This podcast has potential. I like some of the additional content but they spend way too much time on it. The amount of time spent on nonsense instead of the actual show is like 3/1. The shrill laughing is hard to listen to. It is also odd these women seem to be vocal about women empowerment however, it is disturbing the way they speak of the men on the show. Most of the time vulgar. Iâm not a prude but as another reviewer stated-imagine male podcasters saying the same things about the women on the show and what kind of crap they would get for it. It would not be okay. So it should not be okay just because itâs woman talking about men. These women seem to be well read so they should understand the definition of double standard. Spend more time actually reviewing the show and save 80% of your rambling for âbonus contentâ and that way people can stop listening after they hear the actual reviews.
I just binged all the episodes in a week.Gold. I love you both.Rooting for face butter cameo in season 3!
The singing is obnoxious. Iâd rather hear discussion of the show.
I LOVE this podcast. A Handmaidâs Tale is a tough watch and having two women who laugh, cry and get real helped me appreciate the show so much more! Their movie reviews are excellent too. Canât wait to read their recommends!
I LOVE THIS PODCAST. I needed somewhere to put all my Handmaidâs Tale energy and this podcast feels like chatting with two smart, witty, hilarious friends. Keep finishing each otherâs sentences, keep respectfully disagreeing, keep telling me all about face acting and camera angles, and above all else, KEEP SINGING LADIES!!!
Iâm loved the first episode that I heard for the first season of Hulu of Handmaids Tale but only one other episode works. Can you refresh your old stuff?? I like listening to podcasts in sequential order.
I love funny women. I love women who are unapologetic about who they are and what they have to say. Molly and Kelly are hilarious and so smart! Listening to this podcast is the very first thing I do after watching Handmaidâs Tale. SUCH a great way to process a heavy show!
This podcast gives me so much life in the dark world and dark world of this show
I tried, I really did. On its face this podcast is everything I love, however I could barely listen. The near constant laughing/shrieking is so hard to listen to. Iâm glad the hosts have each other and clearly have similar senses of humor, I just didnât find them at all funny. No idea how this show has the rating it does.
These two are the perfect antidote for the pain this show inflicts. Theyâre funny, insightful, and a true delight to listen to.
Blessed be this podcast. I tried out a few HMT podcasts but once I found this one it instantly became my favorite. Both gals are relatable, funny, and insightful. It reminds me of all the discussions I have about handmaids tale with my best friend. 11/10 recommend
Love the podcast but this interview, specifically the interviewee, kinda twirked my nerves. Kiraâs work is beyond brilliant...but her manner of speak speak uh speaking made uh made made made me turn my uh my uh rip my earbuds out. #itsnotyouitsme
Laughing, clapping, and getting lernt. So much to love! I came for Shannon, and stayed because itâs my birthday week and Iâm allowed okay?So smart, great insights into the show, and a crash course in how to support women and be a better ally.
This is the best Handmaidâs Tale podcast Iâve heard. These ladies really understand the subject matter. And they manage to balance the seriousness of the topic with moments of much-needed levity. Best of all - when things get too heavy, they serenade us a with a song. This podcast is like having a show discussion with your best girlfriends.
Under his eye. This is a fab podcast to help you decompress after watching all the societal horror that is the Handmaid's Tale TV show. There's humor, snark, a small dose of singing and then more humor to help rehash the episodes. Totally worth a listen.
Great recap of Huluâs The Handmaidâs Tale. These ladies slay.
Use your negative reviews at the polls to change the pre-Gilead weâre living in. This podcast is a relief from the real world and doesnât take itself too seriously. If people donât like it, move on. At least these ladies are actually doing something.
Praise Be, I love this podcast! I look forward to it as much as the new episode on Hulu each week!
Kelly and Molly are two of the most brilliant, kind, and above all-hilarious women that I have ever had the opportunity to listen to. They make watching this show bearable. I look forward every week to hear them discuss the episode at hand, as well as the issues that are engulfing our world. Although I am a male âgender traitorâ, I have felt a special connection/bond with women. Molly and Kelly have inspired me to become an even more outspoken feminist and I have encouraged my straight, cisgendered male friends to listen to their podcast and several of them have become more open and outspoken proponents for womenâs right. I have this podcast to thank for this. You go ladies!
This podcast is the balm (not bomb ... get it? ðð) in Gilead. Kelly and Molly are as hilarious as they are thoughtful and insightful. I donât always agree with every single thing they have to say about the show or their take on things but it doesnât deter me from listening. One thing I love about this podcast is their knowledge of the source material for the show. Itâs so important and they do a great job of pointing out the differences between the book and the show. Iâm so glad that theyâre getting to interview people associated with the show because itâs clear that they put a lot of work into this podcast (unlike a certain *other* Handmaidâs Tale podcast ... not gonna name names ð). Now that Iâve said all of that, hereâs my critique: It shows when they arenât impressed with episodes. Thatâs fine to not like an episode and point out its faults, but there have been a few episodes where the discussion wasnât as focused, and the tangents (as hilarious as they are) were more frequent and didnât have much to do with the show. This is honestly the only complaint I have. Canât wait to hear their insights for the end of this season and season 3!!
Funny and smart- this podcast brings light to this very complex television!
Look no further! Sharp, insightful and funny, this is the The Greatest Generation of Handmaid's Tale Podcasts.
Never given a bad review and I have subscribed several times and listened but I just canât
I tried listening to them and made it through almost 2 episodes. Their shrieking/ laughter is so obnoxious and annoying, itâs like being around incoherent girls during a high school sleepover. They lose their train of thought, and really I donât see the podcast as a review, they just sit there and complain about what they didnât understand. They constantly call the show out for âlazy writingâ and it just makes them seem like they created this podcast just to talk about disliking the show. Hard pass, there are better podcasts out there and Iâll subscribe to those instead.
I look forward to the recaps from Kelly & Molly just as much as new eps of Handmaidâs Tale. Thank you! â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
Love listening to these beautiful ladies every Wednesday!
This show is honest, comical, and a complete delight. They manage to take such dark material and somehow make it funny and light. I look forward to listening every week!
Aunt Kelly and Molly Ofmitchell bring the light needed to deal with the dark subject matter.
This is my favorite podcast! It makes watching the Handmaids Tale so much more fun to watch!I canât wait to see what they have to say after every episode!
I loved the television show, but after discovering this podcast before the beginning of the third season, it has made my experience of understanding, analyzing and viewing the show so much better. I feel so empowered after listening to these amazing women. It also challenges some of my thinking in regards to the âreal worldâ which I appreciate. ðð¼
The Handmaids Tale is a dark and depressing show, I look forward to watching it every week. But I might actually look forward to these ladies discussions now more. They are so smart and well-read, and genuinely hilarious. I love how they laugh at their own jokes (probably because I do the exact same thing), I love the inside jokes (itâs my birthday week!), and I love how insightful they are about the show vis a vis our current world. I want to hang out with them and make all the jokes. Five stars, ladies. Keep laughing in the face of darkness.
I notice that the show is deleting or pushing unfavorable reviews to the bottom of the list. I assume this will only stay up for a few days. Before you do that, please take the reviewers advice and tone down the shriek laughing and try to keep on point. People keep remarking that you do have good info if you just tweak your show a bit. The laughing is so bad, please stop
I get that some moments are funny in the Handmaidâs Tale and i get itâs okay to make light of how intense it is but these girls laugh way too much (and annoyingly) at really intense moments. Grow up please!
I have STRUGGLED to get through this podcast. I absolutely love The Handmaidâs Tale and was hoping to find a podcast that would dig further into scenes and analyze various things. While they do analyze and dig deeper at times, there is far too much unnecessary laughing and fake voices. And the constant sing-songing? Annoying. Kelly clearly loves to hear herself talk, and her shrill voice, laugh and constant âpffftâ sound completely ruin it for me. I really wish sheâd let Molly talk more, especially since her voice is more soothing. I know a lot of people probably find these girls funny and enjoy the banter, but frankly I found it too annoying and distracting. On to the next podcast...
I have been listening since episode one and I am never leaving. Keep it up ladies.
If I wanted a podcast about dildos and self love I would find a different show. What I wanted was an analysis of a great show. What I got was a couple of people making jokes using fake voices with speech impediments. Not funny but the team sure thinks they are hysterical. If what youâre looking for is a book club where everyone drinks wine and eats chocolate but never actually discusses the book then this podcast is for you.
Each week I have to pick between listening to the podcast or watching the episode first. They add so much that I missed or didnât think about each week all while making me laugh.
These ladies are hilarious, insightful and so helpful in the come down after watching this super intense show.
My appreciation for this podcast grows and grows. Love it.
I love podcasts but some are just boring. They have content but they donât pull you in. This podcast is different. The seriousness along with their comical personality is what keeps me coming back every week. Kudos Molly and Kelly for all you do to keep us in stitches.
Kelly and Molly are great! They have awesome takes on the show and i love their similar interests in reading cause they reference books i havent thought about in a long time i want a book club podcast. They do like to make a lot of weird corny jokes but i guess its a cute flaw of theirs like they make up a whole fake handmaid whos really bratty and are clearly very into the joke of it but man i just do not enjoy it but im glad theyre having a good timeI think the reason people think theyre shrill is cause their audio mixing isnt super good so its hard to hear them at a normal volume so when they get all excited about something it hurts cause its too loud also theyre both a bit dramatic (which i love) but when they gasp it hurts
