Jay's story starts when he was 12 years old and had his family torn apart by substance abuse. Going through the D.A.R.E program in High School, he felt that the messages were skewed and irrelevant. To fix this issue, he took matters into his own hands and started speaking to high schools in the area about his story and the impact of substance abuse in families. 

Fast forward to the present day, Jay co-founded Addiction U with his college classmate Eric Martin. They won the University of St. Thomas Fowler Entrepreneurship Challenge in early November 2018 and are looking to launch their company in February 2019.

Addiction U aims to support and children who are impacted by substance abuse of a family member through online storytelling.
