Natasha Daniels has helped me reframe how I parent my anxious and sensory children! I highly recommend this podcast!
I canât get enough of these episodes! Natasha is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to parenting, parenting a child who has anxiety and parenting when YOU have anxiety. She has such a warm and engaging personality and offers realistic, practical parenting advice that you can actually put to use. I love how she combines her professional expertise with her real life parenting experiences. I always leave her episodes feeling empowered and supported.
I am just finding this podcast. Thank you so much for sharing all your expertise on OCD and anxiety. This greatly affects my teenage daughter. Please continue with any OCD advice you have for teens. Wonderful Podcast! Much Appreciated!! ~Shannon
Natasha, I canât thank you enough for the information you share in this podcast! I have no idea how you find the time while working and being a mom to three kids with anxiety (and apparently medical issues as well!), or why you provide all this content for free, but Iâm incredibly grateful. Iâm a Marriage and Family Therapist so when my preschooler suddenly started having all of these anxiety/OCD symptoms and behavior problems, I of course started researching the heck out of it, but nothing else Iâve found has even come close to the in-depth and practical information that you provide. For just about every issue weâve encountered (school refusal, oppositional/defiant behavior, compulsive urination, could it be PANDAS/PANS?) Natasha has a podcast or video that addresses that topic in-depth, and from her extensive personal and professional experience she clearly just GETS it, and is able to get to the heart of whatâs going on and what to do about it, in a way that even all of my therapist friends and the therapist weâre taking my son to see (who specializes in working with preschoolers, but not specifically anxiety and OCD) donât. When I started doing ERP exercises with my son it immediately had a huge impact on his overall anxiety level, and although itâs continued to be an up-and-down learning process since then, I know weâre headed in the right direction and itâs starting to feel like we have our kid back â¤ï¸
This was very helpful for me as a mom of a perfectionist. The part about hanging perfect grades hit home. âFocus in effort, not outcome.â
I and Iâm sure many parents struggle with parenting trying to be perfect! All of your podcasts are so helpful but as a teacher I realize not everything works with every child. Just FYI, we are required by law to report sexual abuse. I just listened to an old podcast and it made me think of that! Keep it up!
My son has been recently diagnosed with ADHD and definitely has anxiety. I also struggle with anxiety. Thank you for all your help! Can you address ADHD specifically and anxiety?
Last week after a breakdown I was again wandering online looking for THE answers to my many questions.... I donât know how but I found Nathasha... I cried the entire podcast about anger issue because it was exactly what I was hoping to find, empathy and advices .... but what made it even more amazing is that I sent the link to the podcast to my husband and, for the first time ever, he listened to the entire thing. Later that day I heard him said to our son exactly what Natasha advice to say on her podcast. It was magical ! I am still in the dark with my Sonâs anxiety but I feel like I find a light to guide me through that tunnel... thank you !
Iâm thankful, beyond belief, for finding your podcast. I struggle with anxiety, along with one of my kids, however, the resulting manifestation for each of us is completely different. It is such a struggle at times to identify or even understand the feelings and behavior of my anxious kiddo. I have been able to identify and relate to several of your episodes, which is such a relief in itself. Your practical tips and suggestions are amazing and so greatly appreciated. Listening has given me some comfort and hope, knowing that Iâm not alone! Canât thank you enough for what you do!
Thank you so much for the great advice. So nice to find a helpful resorce. My little guys core fear are bad dreams. I feel at a lose on how to tackle this fear.
My sonâs therapist never mentioned about finding out my sonâs core fear. When I asked him he did say the same. Listening to you opened my eyes. As a result I communicate better with my son. Your examples are very helpful. English is my second language and using the proper language to talk of his OCD has being a revelation for me and him. Thank you so much. My
This podcast has change my life. I have been able to learn about anxiety and ways to help my child. She offers so much valuable information! The best podcast!
This podcast has really helped me with my 3 kids. All of them have anxiety and one shows signs of ocd. Thank you Natasha!! I am so grateful for what you do.
Natasha Daniels is an amazing and caring child therapist! She gives excellent advice and helps me stay motivated to help my anxious child. Iâm so grateful for her podcasts. Thank you! :)
My wife put me onto these, and I'm so glad we started listening. Natasha's examples are comletely in line with the issues we are having with our daughter. We have a comletely new perspective on things and now see why the aproach we had been taking was not working. Thank you Natasha!
Thank you for your support! I am a speech therapist and deal day in and day out with kiddos with emotional regulation difficulties. I also have a 9 yo with anxiety and this is so helpful for my personal life as well as my professional life. Itâs easier to do it at work, but at home it slips sometimes! Thank you!
Natashia has helped me how to parent my child who has ocd and anxiety. Her podcast and online classes has guided me to help my child with these disorders tremendously. Thank you for your great work, Natashia!!! Suji
Love, love, love this podcast! With several anxious children, I find Natasha to be SUPER helpful with concrete strategies! Thank you!
This. Is. Theeee. Best. Podcast! So happy Iâve found Natasha! She give such amazing helps for anxious kiddos & their parents!!! Thank you!!!!!!
These podcasts give me HOPE! I am so thankful for Natashaâs work. It is so nice to hear from a therapist and Mom who is in this battle of anxiety/OCD with me! My son and our family benefits from this podcast! Thank you! Thank you!
This is an amazing podcast and resource that I have been following since it started and it is incredible! It has helped me so incredibly much with my now 12 year old son with anxiety/depression/ocd - I donât miss a podcast and they have all helped so much and Iâm so grateful - without these and Natasha Danielâs website and YouTube videos, I donât want to know where we would be
Just started listening to your podcast and am loving all the tips and tricks you share! Now Iâm only wishing you were still accepting new patients so that I could bring my little one in to learn from you. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and experiences!
Episode 80 was exactly what I needed to hear today with school starting back. Waiting on my kids timing and not being five steps ahead.
Natashaâs podcast has been so helpful. Iâm learning how to help my daughter through her ocd and anxiety struggles with Natasha podcasts and videos. I just enrolled in her in line Parenting class for OCD. I will do my best to try to help my daughter. It breaks my heart but hearing her podcast makes me feel less alone. Her you tube videos for kids have been helpful to my daughter. Itâs very hard to find specialized therapy for OCD. Without having to drive very far or have to pay cash for services not covered by insurance. Itâs her tools we will do our best to help our daughter battle OCD and anxiety.
I really enjoy listening to Natasha! I found her podcasts a few months ago and have worked my way thru the older podcasts. Every one I listen to I am able to pull something useful from it. Her personality really comes thru her podcasts and makes it feel very personal.
Iâve been listening to this podcast for a year now, and I look forward to it every week. Natasha Daniels is a gem! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable about anxiety and OCD (in a world where OCD in particular is rarely talked about), but her weekly topics are relevant and brought to us in a funny and engaging way. Who knew that the same thing that brings us parents to tears some nights would also make us laugh so much on the way to work in the morning? And if podcasts arenât enough Natasha for your family, your kids might also enjoy her YouTube videos made especially for kids on how to crush anxiety and OCD. My 9 year old, who keeps her feelings inside and refuses to talk to therapists, is almost as big a fan as I am!Natasha, you are a treasure!
Iâm currently half way through your Crushing Anxiety course and I was so happy to find that you have a podcast too! I have an anxious child and I feel like Iâm just now figuring this out (heâs 7!). I have anxiety myself so I have a low frustration threshold (yet deep understanding and empathy) for helping him deal with his anxiety. Thank you so so much!
Just found this! Alot of good advice on anxious child with real usable tips! Can't wait to hear more.
Natasha is so great with educating parents on possible issues your child may be having whether it's social anxiety, OCD or sensory issues. I'm ever so grateful to have stumbled upon her FB page to learn more about empowering my child with his anxieties. Thank you!!!
Lots of useful information and great tips and âparent hacksâ for kids with these needs.
I am hooked on this podcast! My son will be 9 next month and Iâm interested in learning more about how to start incorporating these techniques into our lives. I wish I could rewind time about 5 or 6 years! Looking forward to finding out how to help my son cope with anxiety at 9, and challenge himself to try new things. He has been ârisk averseâ and anxious about food and trying new things since birth, and I want him to have the tools to experience life to the fullest! Thank you so much!Sue Jackson in NC
After we finally got my childâs ADHD under control, she still had several issues. A friend of mine mentioned anxiety so I went looking for information. Then I found Natasha, and this podcast. I found out I am not alone!! There are parents who experience the EXACT same issues with their children. This podcast has helped me talk to my child about her anxiety, and we are working together to overcome it!! Invaluable information and advice!!! Thank you for this, from the bottom of my (and my childâs) heart...and now better rested mind!!!
I have been searching for years to find TOOLS to use with my child. This is what I have been looking for. Thank you for bringing us peace of mind.
My 6 year old has been difficult from birth. Anxiety, OCD, Sensory processing disorder. Even as a pediatric occupational therapist, I struggled to understand her anxiety, and emotional dysregulation. I often felt dismissed by her pediatrician when I expressed my concerns. Other adults in her life never saw the same kid I saw at home...so I often questioned if her issues were my fault or because I wasnât strict enough. Weâve been financially strapped the last few years so Iâve felt so alone. Even with my clinical knowledge, I felt like I was barely keep my head above water with her. Finding these podcasts has been an unbelievable answer to prayer! Natasha hits the nail on the head perfectly. She describes so much of what we struggle with daily. Iâve learned more in these podcasts than I have in the $1000+ weâve spent on therapy so far this year. We are just beginning to really understand and fill our tool box with effective coping strategies. I signed up for her Ecourse and Iâm loving it. I seriously can not believe these podcasts and you tube videos are free. Thank you so much for igniting some hope and encouragement back into our lives. We are ready to crush anxiety and ocd. ðð¼ðð¼
One of the best things thatâs ever happened to our family! Natasha is a gift.
I have a 5 year old son with SPD & anxiety and have appreciated all of your advice! He is still a work in progress but we wonât give up until he has conquered his fearsð
Thank you Natasha for sharing all of this information and your stories! It's super helpful and filling in the gap that probably a lot of parents are stuck in. Our kids are getting therapy. But no ones really telling us what to do for them at home. And what if both parents are on the same page? There is SO MUCH important information in this one episode! I have listened to it 3 times and will listen to it every time I start to feel frustrated with my 17yo who was recently diagnosed with anxiety. Thanks to you, I have the words to tell my husband so we can work with our son and get through this!!
This podcast has been so helpful for me, not only in raising anxious kiddos but in dealing with anxiety myself! I love the insights into why we struggle with anxiety as well as the practical tips for how to deal. One of my favorite podcasts for sure!
I am so grateful for your podcasts and YouTube videos! I am a therapist as well as a mom to an anxious preschooler. Your material is so straight forward and hands on, I have only scratched the surface of the wealth of knowledge you share and it has already helped me both at home and professionally with getting my mind around concepts to better communicate with kids and parents to improve self awareness and coping. Itâs also been so reassuring for me as a mom! Helps me feel like, ok I know what to do with this now. Canât wait to listen more!
I donât remember how I stumbled across your name and found your podcast but it has been heaven sent. I really need this right now and am learning so much about how to support my anxious 5 year old. Thank you!
I suddenly found myself trying to parent what I thought was a very adjusted teen who suddenly developed anxiety following a sports concussion. This has been a lifesaver to help inform the therapist we selected and the therapy progression. Grateful this podcast is not a sales pitch like some other podcasts I tried. Feel a genuine connection with host and that her intentions are to help others, which she has accomplished in our family in a very short time. Thank you!
This podcast has been life changing for me! I went back to the beginning and am avidly listening to each episode. Her advice is so so helpful, and she is so down to earth and relatable. Thanks to Natasha I have a new and better understanding of my child, myself, and our relationship is better for it.
Thank you thank you!I am going to implement the tools suggested in this podcast. I just learned about your podcast today and am very excited to listen to more!!
I canât get enough of these podcasts! Thank you Natasha for being real, being human, and being honest in how hard things can get sometimes but also teaching us ways to hope for a brighter future!
I canât get enough of this podcast. It has been so eye opening and helpful for me. I have 5 kids, 2 that are biological and lice with me full time. Theyâre both pretty anxious, as am I. Weâve had our ups and downs the past 4 years specifically. Theyâre both picky eaters, one is extreme. She fear trying new foods I think. The younger have anxiety that quickly and intensely manifests in nausea (I suffered from this as a child as well.) I think she also really fears throwing up and so that makes it even worse. These podcasts have been amazing so far and have been stepping stones for me to really explore these issues and kids anxiety.
Easy to listen to and extremely informative. Great advice and suggestions for focus on certain treatments.
This podcast has been immensely helpful to me as I parent two anxious kids. I already had some great books and a great therapist, so Iâm very lucky. Still, Iâve gained new tools, tricks, and insights with Natashaâs podcasts. I love her âdown to earthâ style and that she is a parent of anxious kids. Sheâs very relatable and I trust her because I know sheâs been there.
I love it . I have two questions a child can be both ? introvert and extrovert? could you tell us more differences between introvert and shy ?
I just stumbled onto this podcast several months ago and Iâm absolutely obsessed. I plan to sign up for her e course and Iâve already implemented things Iâve learned into the way I parent my very anxious, epileptic 8 year old daughter. This week we are building a âChallenge Boxâ and Julie is so excited about it. Thank you Natasha! Youâve changed my life! â¤ï¸ð
Weâve always suspected our 6-year old son had anxiety - mostly bc I see a LOT of myself as a child in him. Since I was only diagnosed as anxious as an adult and didnât really get the support I needed as a child (not due to neglect but simply not being understood) we want to make sure we are doing all we can to let him know itâs okay and we are here to guide him. This podcast has become my absolute favorite parenting podcast as it is the one we can relate to the most. Thank you thank you thank you SO much for sharing your knowledge in this way!!
